1:05 Nate you may enjoy a little portable emulation device. I have a few Abernic devices and they are wonderful. They even design system specific devices. The one that gets the most use from me is the RG35XX SP. Same claim shell design as the game boy advance sp. This one can emulate up to PS1. But I am a nerd and have OCD so I only put handheld roms on it. Probably the slickest one they have is the one made specifically to work with DS games. It works for other systems but it is also claim shell and has a dual touch screen. Like the DS. They are fun. Just grab them, play for a few and put it down. It remembers the last game you played and will load up a quick save from turning off the device or closing the device. They run anywhere from like $49 to $229 USD (real high end. Will emulate up to the switch, ps4 and 360). The majority of them come with a HDMI port so you can plug into your TV. Bluetooth can pair to at least two controllers. Metal Gear Solid 2 is an amazing game and worth a revist i think. It def got a bad wrap when it came out but I think knowing the MC is Raiden instead of Snake + age have really helped. But yeah the roller skater boss is so fucking dumb but i kinda love it. Also, possibly the first game to ever use the word Bisexual. MG Rising is a great action game also if you like platinums other games.

Nah, the point about the story of the Good Samaritan was that Judeans and Samaritans were basically the same and hated each other for petty reasons, but were ultimately family. When the Judean guy collapsed on the road all the other Jews passed him, the Samaritan, basically your relative that you have beef with, goes out of his way to help him. The point of the story is that despite the narcissism of small differences, we're all family, and it's better to help one another out rather than be selfish. This is honestly a story that the French should have learned something from.
I only just realized that this podcasts two current ongoing series', the French Wars of Religion and the Imjin War, were roughly coterminous. The French were beginning to wrap things up around the same time that the Japanese were invading Korea.

I might give TRIH another try. They made some incredibly nasty comments at the expense of New Jersey in their episode on the Hamilton/Burr business, and I'd just had enough.

Does anyone know how many parts this series will be? I am so stoked to listen to it (Nate narrating and commenting about bonkers early modern European history in all his European accents = chef's kiss) but my AutDHD brain needs to listen to something like this sequentially, from beginning to end, without other episodes or long stretches of time in between episodes, in order to fully appreciate, take in , and retain all the info. To be clear, this isn’t a demand to hurry up or anything like that! I know this series exists to allow some breathing room in y'alls schedules. Anyway thank you all so much for all the hard work you do to always bring us laughs, cursed facts, and lesser known horrors & wonders from humanity's backstory.
Yeah, I like waiting for a series to complete so I can listen to it all consecutively. I am excited to hear this one once it's complete!
