I now imagines Samurais writing Haikus that ships with sails are just like naked people with capes on

Akiba's Trip was such a deep cut i wasnt expecting lol i literally only know about it because they did a collab with one of the Disgaea 4 ports, an also somewhat horny game staring a vampire but its a very addicting Strategy rpg instead.

Oh hell yeah, the Koreans started a national people's guerilla movement to fight the Japanese.

The King Seonjo is just a small bean whomst has anxiety and wants to be nice by listening to people's perspectives, so of course everyone is going to tell him to end himself.

So, does anyone know about the palace period dramas Joe was referring to?

The only thing I remember about water world is that part of it was filmed just off the beach where my parents believe I was conceived and also that they would tell me things I didn't want to hear at too young an age to hear it. Nothing about the actual movie

"Thank you so much, we are Shorts Rhodesian!" (silence) "Give it up for Second Homes, they're up next!" (raucous applause)

L
LeobaL · August 17, 2026

How do shorts become Rhodesian? They're either Rhodesian size to start with, or they aren't, right?

Fun fact: the vast majority of the world's LEGAL medicinal poppies are grown on .... the island called Tasmania. Unsurprisingly, security surrounding the poppy fields is insane. And forget about taking plant samples or getting an awesome influencer shot of yourself in a blooming poppy field. That shit will get you arrested and blacklisted. A few years ago security around the poppy fields had to be hugely upgraded, because during harvesting season farmers came across... crop circles. Was it aliens? Humans? Thieves? People looking for a high? Well, the culprits were sampling the poppies and getting high. And the culprits were 2 legged. But they weren't aliens, they were locals. LOCAL WALLABIES. https://www.abc.net.au/listen/programs/adelaide-mornings/stoned-wallabies-are-making-crop-circles-in-tasmania/8617184

On the note of clothing a ship, did the cottonclads count as wearing sweaters?

Feels like there's an editing error around 1:06:30, there's a hard cut from the Chinese soldiers showing up in Korea to talking about the Japanese supply line without any setup. I needed to relisten a couple of times to figure out which army was even being talked about after the cut.

For me I was just stunned to hear that japanese general who was supposed to temporary gover the city left because he thought building he was living there was haunted and just burn it down. I know this is an era of where everyone is superstition, but i never heard someone being so paranoid of a building being haunted that they burn it down

"I got Seoul but I got no solders." Brilliant. Wasn't it Cody Johmston who made the Aquaman tweet?

G
George Toner · August 17, 2026

Quite possibly, but everyone was very good about crediting HBomberguy. Even though he'd probably only complain about not being credited considerably later (in a way which would end your career [his mother's very proud {now that's he's both come and moved out, not exactly givens for millennials (with debilitatingly high testosterone)}])

There are still Waterworld action performances at Universal Studios amusement parks, and not just in the US, but in Japan too. I have never seen said show, but I have caught the tops of flames reach into the sky from the direction of the stage, which is always hidden behind greenery. I don't think I've heard any crowd noises though.

Following a communications error a top-ranking Starcraft Clan was viciously beaten by thugs, from a loose coalition of (Edit: bitchy, infighting) street gangs with pretensions of grandeur, and spent more time trying to backstab and blame one another than fight back. More news at (159)6
