The new government's patchwork of competencies, redundancies, absent resources, and old-fashioned corruption is making for a rough go of things. Everyone has a gun, and everyone is sick and starving. Cholera has a better hold on power than the new government.

Nothing but love and respect for Ani and Joe, but those Olympic takes were frozen cold. Both US men and women hockey gold, as well as an amazing performance by Alysa Liu. Politics (I’m a fourth generation union leftist) or Tkachuck brothers aside, it was awesome.

As a hockey fan from South of the border. That game was bittersweet is all I’d say. Growing up playing hockey, I idolized the 1980 team and dreamed of us winning gold. Now that it happened and seeing how MAGA has latched onto it like ringworm has soured the victory. An uncle of mine still posts about Megan Rapinoe and how we all should be more like the 2026 US mens hockey team and less like Megan Rapinoe. Who has been retired for over 3 years at this point by the way.
Spiritually, Canada won.
