The WSB and guys playing CoD with inappropriate skins crossover is a little concerning
Can we get a snippit of the "BISHOP-RICK" for the patrons?
I just listened to Trinidad James this weekend
Staring into the middle distance cuz I've been saying "hot tamale, I'm sweatin" for 20 years
“The Year Without a Santa Clause” you felt like you were tripping when you watched it.
I moved from Africa to the US in 2003. Growing up, we were heavily influenced by hip hop culture. We didn’t have CD’s yet. cassette tapes and VHS tapes were how we were able to view American media when cable tv was severely limited. The West Side Boys were probably listening and watching bootleg VHS tapes and old cassette rap tapes. In Cairo, we had better access to current rap, so Jay-Z, DMX, Snoop Dogg and upcoming 50 cent was more popular. While west coast vs east coast rap beef was by then a classic period.
Hole in the Wall waterloo mention!
“Hog’s leg of weed” Is that a muhfugin Last Podcast reference?!?!?
Suprised there was no mention of CAS being provided by a Hind, from Executive Outcomes. Have messaged a mate of mine that was 1Para at the time. He missed the raid as he, and 2 others....may have been in Spain on holiday, and not standing by as there were on Spearhead iirc 😂
EO left the country in 1997 and were dissolved by 1998. By the time of Operation Barras they no longer existed.
What about the Eastside boys the group base off Biggie Smalls
59:40- 1:01:37 To Nate, if you wish to see the worst possible example of pop culture cast-off material being adapted in a warzone, I strongly recommend watching the new 28 years later movie, preferably with zero context going in. The final scene of the film is the closest thing to an llbd riff I've seen put to film.
There's actually been research where they found that more expensive car brands are less likely to stop for pedestrians, least surprising study I ever read.
Awww - I thought Rory Stewart was cool. Thx for bursting my bubble boys
Remember: Chet yourself before you wreck yourself
Between the name Dark Angels and the leader being named Lion I would half believe that they actually played 40K
That can’t be a coincidence
Might I add Betty White Tit Fuck to the list of horrible band names?
In fact, add it to the top of the list.
The donkey got a battlefield promotion to pegasus
10/10 PMCS joke, nice one Nate.
WSB'S child soldier policy is just what the jokes about Texas high school football teams combined with the joke about Kurdisfan being Texas with more guns and less pickup trucks
AIDS Wolf actually a sick band no lie
In magic systems derived from ancient Egyptian magic the donkey was seen as a dangerous yet pluripotent figure; their bray was referred to as hiw which was the selfsame as the hissing & bite of the viper, which was regarded as a word of power; & mystics/bioalchemists sought to produce the rooster crested flying serpent called the Talmus. Which is to say: donkeys already have their egos pretty high
The Mold Kaiser
For Nate on the Intro, iirc the movie is called A Christmas without Santa with Coldmieser an Heatmeiser
Yes, that's correct! And the character he's thinking of is the Snowmeiser
I spaced out for a moment and came back to Nate telling Joe that it’s easy to switch sides, so at first I thought they were peer pressuring Joe into becoming bisexual again
I wonder how many mercenary/militia outfits with 40k themes will be around when WW4 kicks off...
Well we already have Kmart brand black templars in the us i.e. proud boys and other ilk like that
It’s a real song don’t beat yourself up. Twitch streamer Ray had them as a donation gif that played so many times it’s burned into my brain. https://youtu.be/_SGlPnA_iCk?si=3wTOQ6t53_KrBANm
Like a fever dream from my childhood I forgot about haha
Huge gold Ak47 is a bop. Using Nate as like an ADHD lyrical word association mentat is more ethical playlist generator than the Spotify suggestion ai.
How come you guys stopped including the goofy stories relating to the topic at the beginning?
Per the question from the legion, my favorite moment was from the King Phillip's War series. Joe pronounced Rehoboth, MA as "Ree-a-booth". Liam wasn't particularly nice about it, which was fun. I had to capture the sound, and send it to my Reeabooth friends and acquaintances. I played these characters in HS sports in the 90s. Ftr, they DEFINITELY fuck cows, goats and sheep.
African civil war milita leaders have the sickest names.
Three different warlords named Osama bin Laden
Does this mean there is a dude running around with a home made Red Wings sweater quoting poetic justice while cleaning his weapon?
really hope they mention that tupac was a young communist in this episode
« The year without a Santa Claus » is the name of the movie. It was kind of creepy.
You mean a classic. I haven't seen it in 10 years and will not investigate
If Joe does learn to drive in the UK, live stream him going through the Swindon Roundabout.
