EARLY EPISODE: L'Escalade

In 1602, Savoy launched an invasion of Geneva, forcing the city-state's residents to rush to the walls and arm themselves with whatever they could get their hands on, including, in one infamous case, a pot of boiling soup.

Absolutely pointless bit of info, bit having spent way too much time waiting for service in it, that Royal Mail black site in Belfast is on the appropriately named Tomb Street, as it where hope goes to die

Look, just because I drive past Steven Kings house on the way to work means NOTHING. That said, I think the country in general would be better off Maine ran everything.

Hi Joe, I just want to say that I know it’s hard to step away from things for one’s own mental health and let other people take the wheel for a bit, and I’m just a fan, and I hope this doesn’t come across as condescending but I’m really proud of you for stepping away and letting other people take the lead on something that’s important to you for your own mental health and peace. You’re very lucky in your friends and your creepily co-dependent fans support you. 💛

Look up the halfling Hot pot catapult, it was a real warhammer fantasy model. The tactical soup attack.

I remember growing up at a Presbyterian church and then beginning confirmation classes. The teachers really, really, really stressed that the tenets are wacky and you really don't need to buy into them, just understand that the elders run the church and not like a pope or something

Absolutely killer ep lads. Nate did a fantastic job with this top to bottom. It's great to both get Joe on color commentary and to know that he's getting to take a very well deserved respite.

Lol Tasting History mention. Between this and that time November called Max a twink (he's not though, I think he's more in otter or daddy territory by now), I really need a crossover with the Nate Bethea podcastverse and Tasting History (especially if it's remaking the soup that kills you).
