Himmelstoss is possibly the most subtle reference i've ever read (book owns so far though)

I don't know what it is about the way you write but normally I have a difficult time picturing the stories I read but I am having no difficulty whatsoever visualizing the world you've created here. So thank you for creating a story that I can enjoy to this degree.
