July 2026 Book update!
Dear WaveShapers,
Well, this has been an interesting month for the channel, and for me personally!
Four months ago, I bought my first 3D printer to explore what the fuss is about. I put together my cable management trays and printed a bunch of those (and the obligatory fidget toys and dragons), and then a few weeks ago started tinkering with the synth stand generator app, really just as an experiment to see how far I could push things, after I got bored with using CAD software.
After a while, when something worth sharing started coming together, I did, and your and viewer response was so overwhelmingly positive and since no new pending gear announcements were on the horizon, I decided to spend some more time making it the "dream app" - and I think it's getting close! I'll send a separate message with a full list of what's new - and it's a lot - in a few days... but if you can't wait, check out the app here (spoiler alert: you can check it out using your phone too now, and if you bookmark it on your home screen it behaves like a native app!)
Anyway, not to sidetrack things too much, attached is the July 2026 update with one big new chapter, about - no surprise - how 3D printers can be used to improve life in the studio, summarizing all the tips and ideas I've learned so far. Of course I'll keep updating it as I discover things worth sharing. While 3D printers are still a niche product, market research shows that over the coming years they'll become increasingly popular - something you just pickup as you would a regular printer, as will local and global 3D printing services if you don't want a printer at home. The chapter starts on page 502, or just search for the string "JUL2026".
That's it for now, as usual, but never taken for granted, thanks for being here!
All my best,
Ziv (loopop)
