Monthly art - November 2025

UPDATE 3: Art is done! Hey y'all, sorry this has taken me much longer than I anticipated but the art is done now and I will finish the brief room descriptions and writing for the little dungeon today and send it off for print. I learned a lot making this and have some closing thoughts on what I would do different but may save all of that for a longer post later down the road. For now I hope y'all dig the art and enjoy the silliness when it shows up in the mail.

Next up will be a fun little C&C sticker to go along with this postcard which I will pop into the post when that is done. Probably right around [here]

As always I thank you all for the continued support of my work and all the different musings I like to try out and get up to.

UPDATE 2: Alright so I have refined the style and landed on a simple theme for this first go at making something like this for the monthly patreon offerings. I always love a classic cult setting and these little weirdos were fun to draw. So tomorrow my hope is I can assemble the assets I made into a nice little 4-5 room dungeon and then get the room descriptions and such written up for the backside of the postcard. Then I will do a color pass and make it all look nice (hopefully) I am sure I will have more complete thoughts on the experience of trying to cram this all in on a pretty short timeline once it's done but for now I am just tired lol. Anyways, finished art update soon.

UPDATE 1: Hey folks so I realized as I continued on this venture of making a little dungeon for the month that I have maybe too many ideas for this lol. I have ping ponged between so many different things to try and make this. Perspectives, styles, themes, everything. But, I think now I have it! I wanted to find a way to make something fun but also not lose the bits I like about these silly games which is the art and making little monsters and stuff so I decided to go with an almost classic Zelda/Link's Awakening style look to the perspective and rooms while combining that with larger doodles to sort of give an idea of what the specific room could be about. I haven't thought too much on color yet but think maybe a semi-limited palette could be cool. Anyways so here I started just kind of building out a small collection of assets and things to use to build this initial dungeon, whether they all get used or not who knows but for now, progress!

Hello lovely people!

I am here again to kick off the progress for this month's postcard art. Now this one may need a bit more explanation that most so please indulge me a moment of your time as I try and pontificate a bit. If you've been a follower of mine on socials and more specifically this patreon for a while you are probably aware for my love and admiration of tabletop games and more specifically the art and craft into their assets and working materials. I love creature art and cards and character sheets and maps and all the little details and intricacies that can be found at the cross section of form and function within this space.

I have long talked about trying to dive more into those things with my own work here on the patreon but time, understanding and anxiety have kept me away. I want to deliver something fun and enjoyable to the patrons every month and the idea of not being able to fulfil on that promise at times can keep me "in my lane" probably a bit too much honestly.

So for this month I just kind of started sketching shapes and such as I normally do when scheming ideas on what the postcard can be and they started to coalesce a little bit. And I just kind of followed that track. I have long loved maps and the folks who make them and the many different ways they can be presented and illustrated and I often daydream about making them I have only ever done so on few rare occasions. So this month I thought why not at least give it a go? Where is the fun in not even trying? If it isn't coming together I can always fall back on the more sort of traditional fair I do with these monthly postcard illustrations.

No I don't have a theme or those things yet for it as I was mostly just wanting to get the structure down first and then I can spend the bulk of the art time making it look cool, hopefully anyways haha.

Anyways my hope is I will be able to design a small and simple little dungeon for you all on the print and the backside will maybe have room descriptions and some other small info bits in place of the normal postcard backing. We'll see.

I hope folks are excited for it and I am curious to see how I get on. As always, be good to yourself. Be good to each other.
