π Floating-Point Arithmetic β Beyond float & double (2/2)
Hi everyone!
This is the second part of the short series dedicated to floating-point arithmetic. After a lengthy introduction, this post shows how to go beyond the limitations of float, double and decimal types.
On top of giving a few tips, it comes with a C# script that allows to greatly improve the precision of the existing types. While not perfect, it is a good compromise compared to much slower C# libraries. You can download the library here.
I am more than happy to hear your thoughts on this, especially if you have any other ideas on how to improve the precision of real numbers in your games!
