Quick Update from the GG Crew
It’s been a busy few weeks over here at Gunsmoke Games. Between kicking off the pivot, replying to some of your concerns, and showing off our first character design, we’ve had our hands full.
But game dev continues. We’ve officially got our first internal alpha up and running! It’s still early and needs a bunch of systems added, but it’s real, and it’s happening.
I’ve mentioned before that we’ve been building some tools in the background, and we’re getting close to the point where you’ll actually be able to use them with us. SR7 and Henshin have been cooking up test environments in both Unity and Ren’py, which we’ll be using for stuff like A/B testing, small playable experiments, and more hands on ways for you to help shape the game with real feedback, not just after the fact, but during development.
On the art front, we’ve still got Rogue and Kitty left to finish, so we’re officially going to miss the end of the month target. We’re a little behind, but nothing crazy. We’ll keep you in the loop as we go.
As this alpha gets more fleshed out, we’ll start dropping more details on powers, missions, and story stuff. It’s all coming together, and your input is going to be a big part of what helps it hit right.

We had set end of Aug back May. Right now it will come out when it's ready.

SU is not cancelled. SR7 will shift over to SU as soon as this is out.
I really appreciate the work and the updates. As for Storm, her boobs are never this big in any of the official works. One of the ideas most about your games is that the characters actually look like the source material. Please consider the same boob size the characters had when we were originally fantasizing about them.

Full game won't be in Unity. We created a small test environment in it.

I love that Storm was drawn and done with respect to the original art. I hope the story involving her is as in depth as it can be considering what kind of game this is. She's too good to just make her a harlot of the day and be done with her. I'd argue that her morality would be a lot higher.
A late game can be remembered as a good game... A broken game will be remembered as a shit game
All good on missing the end of the month goal, especially if it gives you more time for a proper build! As long as there's full corruption for whoever is included I'll be happy :D

Hey, it's been a while since I've been around, does this new game have a release date? I mean, speculated?

That part about testing in Unity and Ren’py…will this game be released in both platforms or just ren’py?
No the full game will be in Ren'py. We have small testing environments for both Unity and Ren'py. Think ways for us to isolate parts of the game to get your direct input on.
That comment about getting feedback during the process reminded me of death stranding and how you can give the cut scenes likes as they play. Not saying the same approach is viable but maybe micro surveys that get emailed off to devs after each episode/chapter in a build. Vary the questions to avoid burn out of the testing team (us)
Thanks for the idea, and I will definitely log it. We're going to do the iteration in small chunks (only 3 per update). So the burnout shouldn't be a concern, but we will make sure to keep an eye on it!
