The Secret to Running Two Projects Without Screwing Up *We Hope
The obvious question here is how. How do we run two projects without screwing everything up? Fair question, and I don’t blame anyone for asking it. So let me break it down.
First up, SU comes first. That hasn’t changed. SU is a beast that demands SR7’s full focus when he’s on it. Every release is planned, built, and pushed out by him running the show. That cycle is still the backbone of what we do.
Now here’s where Project Evolution is different. Evo is lean. The asset needs are tiny compared to SU. What SU burns through in a couple months, Evo barely touches. That means Evo isn’t pulling SR7 away from SU the way you might imagine. And the real kicker is Evo actually needs to stop and wait for you. After we drop something in Evo, the next step is to measure your feedback and figure out what worked. During that pause, SR7 is free to swing back to SU and keep hammering away.
So the two projects don't fight for time. They balance each other. SU takes the heavy lifts. Evo moves in quick bursts and pauses while you guys weigh in. That rhythm lets us keep both alive without us hurting the other.
And here’s the fun part for you. Evo is the experiment where you get a real seat at the table. Your feedback, your hot takes, your weird little ideas. That’s the fuel. Evo only works if you’re in the loop, and because it’s built lean, we can push ideas, test them, and adjust fast. It’s like being able to ask Forge, “Alright, what should we blow up next?”
Bottom line is SU is still the bride. Evo is the bridesmaid you get to have fun with in real time, with no long term commitment. Not competition, not distraction. Just two different beasts feeding into each other.
That’s the how.

I think another point to add will be to have more interesting interactions the characters have with eachother. Three ways secret lesbian scenes and the like
On a more constructive note... I think it would be prudent to set up the infrastructure to allow more costumes than the hard limit in SU. The X-men have tons of good looks and adding new costumes to existing characters is additive in workload instead of multiplicative like adding new poses. That way you can put out some quick and easy updates to keep fans satisfied.
Didnt you cancel bend or break 2?
They haven't canceled it yet.
I hate these corporate press conference type posts. You make porn of comic book characters.
I'm sorry this upset you. I would suggest you don't read posts if they don't align with your views of how we should act, based on what we do for a living. But we have had a lot of questions on this very topic, and I'm sure many are happy to read them. Again I'm sorry that we have offended you.
So if Evo is not requiring much of SR7 attention, when could we expect new SU build?
SR7 times is need in Evo currently. However when Evo is released, SR7 won't have much time requirements as we measure and evaluate feedback. So once Evo is released we will update all of you on our time estimates
Tbh I kinda interpreted it as the anti- being burnt out from the current project project. After 10 years things do have to have become a bit stale. But neat that you can pursue both things at once
You wouldn't be wrong. We called it a pivot or persevere moment. Over the last 10 years we have not ever looked at pivots, it's always been persevere. That type of commitment comes with consequences.
I can't wait for the projects to come out, they did great with this.
Thanks for the confidence, we still have a ways to go. But things are falling into place. For instance there has been some new ideas we got to test rapidly and potentially implement because of our lean approach.
What date is SU releasing?
end of this month
That was well said very excited to try out the new game but still enjoying SU thanks for giving us this very important update also keep up the amazing work and hope you are having a amazing day today.
or to put it another way. SU is the bride and project evolution is the strange on the side.
And now I cant get doctor strange tie ins to the game out of my head.
