Rally mode and more
For the past couple of months, we were primarily focused on a couple of things related to rally, to put Surfaces FX module adding off-road physics to a good use. One of those is a new app meant to function as a copilot, showing and voicing details about upcoming turns, and another is a new mode for a single rally stage (a more advanced rally mode with multiple stages is coming a bit later).
Rally Copilot app
The first main addition is a new app that can help you navigate an unfamiliar track. It shows upcoming turns on HUD, draws them in 3D space and voices them when appropriate (and, of course, you can turn off the parts you don’t need). Actual pace notes are generated automatically based on AI spline and track relief, but there is also a built-in pace notes visual editor you can use to either tweak and improve automatically generated notes, or create a new list. And, similar to the Setup Exchange app, it also allows you to share your prepared notes or download ones prepared by others.
The app comes with an English voice created using an AI voice generator Elevenlabs. There are also two alternative voices demonstrating different ways of preparing your own ones, and a tool that should help to quickly map existing audio files for creating custom voices. With it, creating new voices shouldn’t be too difficult (assuming you already have audio files containing all the phrases).
Also, if car comes with a prepared co-driver model (documentation is coming soon), the app will load it and animate accordingly, all made possible with the help of some new Lua API.
You can find the app on App Shelf, as always. Or, alternatively, CSP should suggest you to install it automatically if you’d use…
Rally Stage mode
A simple single-stage race mode that was initially created more as a proof-of-concept. Unlike regular hotlap mode, it requires you to park the car in front of the starting line and starts counting time after a countdown. Implements its own custom sector time keeping in a reliable database, as well as its own penalties logic and car restoration mechanism.
The mode can be found in the Quick Drive tab of Content Manager (click on the dropdown list on the right of the sublist of modes). Oh, and if you don’t like the way starting gates look, you can always change the style in a configuration tool available in-game when this mode is used.
New Dynamic Reset app
Just a small new tool that could help you learn difficult corners and such. Set a starting point and a finishing point, and it’ll help you to learn that section while keeping track of time and delta. You can also save a section and its results so you could return to learning it in a next session.
Other highlights
Besides the rally features and a new app, the update is mostly fixes, although there are some small new features that might be interesting:
New physics experiment fixing missing spawn points on some tracks;
Triple Tweaks module can match uneven sides much better, also allows to configure triple camera behavior individually for different camera modes;
Chaser Camera module allows to use a different script for secondary camera;
A bunch of common errors in user content no longer cause Assetto Corsa to crash;
Replays online are now active by default;
Grass FX got a new wind logic for a more grassy look and feel;
Handbrake state syncs online (currently only using a single bit);
Walking Out mode now uses gamepad for camera controls (and got a bunch of fixes too);
Also, Android Auto got a web browser (and the YouTube app has been fixed once again).
Notable fixes
In the never-ending pursuit of a stable build, there are, as usual, a lot of fixes, such as:
Layout of the new pause menu fixed;
Turbo switches no longer stop working after certain hotkey combinations;
Surfaces FX no longer messes up AIs driving off-track;
Odometer loading works again (and if you’re using original launcher, CSP will keep track of total distance driven itself);
System keybindings should work properly now, including Ctrl+Shift+… ones;
IME integration fixed, now should properly support advanced input methods (but if it fails again, it can be disabled in GUI settings);
New trees got a couple of small shading improvements;
Extra FX’s TAA and SSLR effects work better with LCS active, no more turning sky black or failing to find any reflections;
AIs now should properly select rain tyres in the rain;
Visual part for deforming walls should be functional again.
Oh, and the long-standing issue with the domain zone has finally been fixed, apologies for taking so long. Now we’re moving to acstuff.club, please feel free to start updating any URLs you might be using (both domains lead to the same website to keep everything compatible). The update for Content Manager supporting new domain is currently in the untested branch (that’s why quick install link on this post still refers to the old domain), and it’s also attached to this post just in case.

Hi there. I am trying to run SRP in Assetto Corsa with Crossover. I have tried Crossover 26.3 and 25.1.1 with CSP 0.2.11, 0.2.5 and a came here and bought what I thought was the 0.2.5 preview1 version. It does not show like that in CM it shows only as 0.2.5...and anyways none of these worked. Can you help me, please?
Soo i am using Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 on Portoalegre on version 0.3.0 preview445 ( and i have tried on 0.2.5 preview1 and 0.2.6 preview1) and i have the paid for the full CM version and when i try to play rally stage i don't have comments to go to the start hold the handbrake no copilot call outs and no time it is like i am playing practice does someone know how can i fix it pls

I made some research and can describe this bug in details So, it cannot be reproduced if we select "Real Condition" options This but also appears on weekend event. Some cars cannot leave a pit, they are just turn, but AI cannot step to gas pad and switch to 1st gear and nothing more.
Is there any way that we can map a keyboard shortcut or wheel button to toggle Rally Copilot on and off? Its a great app for learning a rally stage, but also for regular circuits, I just want to be able to press a button to turn it on and off, kinda like the ideal drive line.

ive been using this preview patch since it came out, but now for some reason every race i drop down to 20-6 fps... when i delete the patch and use 1.79 mt fps goes back to normal... any ideas ??

rain fx comes with all of the preview versions. the only thing is that only the most recent version is the preview version, and you have to sub to get the most recent version.

Hi, I recently started having problems with Content Manager, I am wondering what I need to do, I have uninstalled Both Assetto Corsa and Content Manager, then re-installed but the same thing keeps happening. On windows 11 turn of your antivirus realtime protection and reinstall CSP. Sometimes it turns on after windows update.

Hello, with this version and the 0.2.4 prev some of the ai wont start at the race start and will just crash into eachother. I tried the normal 0.2.0 Version and the Ai works normal there

Anything above 0.2.2 I loose the cockpit steering wheel view and the ability to adjust POV. The only dash view I get is way zoomed in and not adjustable. If I install anything above 0.2.2 it works initially but soon as I switch cars the view goes away. Is there a fix?
Fantastic work. I was previously using the co-driver app and have now switched to copilot. Loving it but the volume for the navigator is a bit low. Where do I find the settings to adjust the volume and navigator voices. Sorry for the noob question.
I have a big problem with the 0.2.4 version, the cars drive normally out of the box. In the new version, some cars slip and no longer drive properly.
Hi I have a problem with mirroring on my VR screen (QUEST 3). I'll try to explain, wearing the VR the image is perfect, but the mirroring on my screen appears deformed, as if it were crushed at the sides, forming a slightly elongated image but you can clearly see how deformed it is. I did a lot of tests with the VR and monitor resolutions but I wasn't able to solve the problem. the only way to fix this is to disable the "Custom VR mirroring in onto the main screen" option. By deactivating this option the measurement problem of the image of my VR projected on the monitor is resolved and the image does not appear deformed, but too dark and nothing can be understood. However, if I activate the option the image on my monitor returns clear and visible but distorted. Is there any way to fix this? Thank you very much for the work done.
Ilja ... Is it possible to remove the fireworks that spin in the sky in a circular motion? It's totally unrealistic, and kills the immersion of otherwise really cool lighting effects.
Got a problem, when installing v0.2.5 or v0.2.4 version of CSP, the "glance back" cam did not work anymore - it shows landscape and not the area behind the car. How can i fix that? With v0.2.3 it is working..

you probably didnt install correctly/didnt restart content manager after installing. you will hear the rain but paid csp (this pateron download) is what actually allows you to see it

Hi! Fantastic work on CSP! As always. Is there any way in the world you can FINALLY address this ISSUE??? I forget to connect my Moza R5 BEFORE loading into a server via CM. I inconveniently have to EXIT server and reload the entire server and load back in. WHY can we just be able to turn on wheel while we are already in the server?

Dear Ilja - grass works with SPS on. WIth SPS off its broken (one eye sways only). Dynamic shadows flicker in one eye with or without SPS (Varjo aero, opencomposite dll). Across all builds - blur on windscreen reflections is so costly. Costs 1 whole ms on a 4090 in VR. Is it possible to optimize it? Reduce sample count/change algo its just too costly to use. And without reflections are too annoying. Of course life without it is not possible altogether now :)

Doesn't really work well, Game crashes every start and if the game starts rain is gone cars fall through the Track etc...If i have Version 2.3 installed instead it doesn't work with Peters new Pure/LCS and the programm tells me in game to upgrade to a higher Version of CSP 0.2.3p211 or higher the whole screen is RED and where would I actually find this recommended version !?!?!
0.2.5 has many issues with AI cars (freeze, crazy AI at start, etc). Hope something is been correct for the next version!

I do not know why but it has been three days that the rain is not working for me, i can hear raining and can see the dops falling in the windshield in first person but not in third person. I remember i could see the detailed drops on the car falling but not anymore. I got the preview version right and all the files in assetto corsa right. Anybody can help me please!
After installing 0.2.5 Preview, I can no longer change the weather. Weather is grayed out and stuck on "Random." Pure Planner App says that the Pure Controller is not running, but again, I cannot select it. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Pure 2.0 and re-activated as Pure LCS and Pure Gamma in Weather FX. Neither work. Weather is still stuck on "Random" in the Drive menu. Please let me know fix. Thx

Hey Ilja, with this new CSP version I am getting a crash when joining some races, specifically to do with Extra FX and Relfection FX not being able to load textures. I have to disable Reflection FX in order for it the race to load, yet old versions of CSP work for me? Can provide more info if needed but this appears to be a new bug introduced here

The 0.2.5 PREWVIEW option in CSP is not an option for me, i cant even see it.. this happened before and i reinstall cm for it to give me the option but now it happened again and after reinstall 0.2.4 is still the latest

The latest preview(s) have introduced quite a few bugs and regressions, some of which are pretty serious and some of which, based on what Ive read on Discord, seem to affect the stable version too. It looks like it's time for a new bugfixing release. Can we have an estimate?

I noticed another bugs: AI racing suddenly the cars delve into the pits from the main straight instead of following the pit entry. Some cars enter the race bugged, they go to the track set the throtle to full and never takes it off. They brake full throtle and make the race a mess, because they can't make a proper curve approach or the curve itself. Magically they appear to be almost invencible. They crash and keep running, they go off track, come back, spin, take another cars out. Would be nice to have a fix for these problems. And I reinforce that would be great to have the refuel thing for AI also fixed. I read somewhere that AI computes only time from changing tires, it ignores fuel time and that's the behaviour I see in the game. Perhaps, if not possible to insert another variable, a quick fix would be to evaluate if the time to refuel is bigger than change tires and inject this time to the tire change in the pitstop. With that at least we would be able to race with AI including pit stops for refueliing in the proper way.

One big problem: blue flags don't seem to work at all anymore. We noticed that in an online race, and after that I tested with an offline race - and no blue flags.
it really bothered me so i tried just about everything and the only solution was to go to 0.2.4 version (previous) but it only worked if i used quick install link instead of doing it myself. Also, wait an extra lap for them to show up, that happed too couple times

Im having an annoying error: "Unfortunatley, CSP couldnt find one of its shaders, so Assetto Corsa has crashed. Most likely it means that your CSP Installation is damaged or not complete." The error happens with every single preview version that i tried, if I use the normal version of the CSP, the game launches normally, can anyone help?

I noticed that the problem with CM early pointed still not fixed. Several resources when changed on CM doesn't get applied. For example: SSLR. No change made there is applied, I have to manually change in the .ini to make the game apply the changes, same with helmet in necks. Vintage were fixed but moddern ones no, it appears black and when disabling the resource in the CM you get nothing done, must do it in the proper ini. Still related to CM using different presets for different sessions is broke since I've starting using, almost 4 years. When you change mannualy the preset it does not load on the CM form that got empy. To workaround one need to alternate among the presets until it suddenly loads it. Another problem I'm facing in CM in several resources when I change the CSP parameters and try to load a session it instantly breaks the game. To work around I have to change the parameter I want, close CM, open again go to the race menu and load the session, than i load. Another issue is related to some objects in the track now appearing as if they have some kind of emissive or brighter at night. In a track I'm modding the "roadverges" the object that connect the asphalt with grass and has some transparency is looking like white lines at night. Another issue is related to objects that have emissive loading replays. In this track I'm modding I put emissive a far object scenary to look like a skyline at night. When transitioning from day to night it works like a charm, but when starting a race at night or loading a replay it breaks the colors. I realized, changing the parameters of the emissive in the ".ini" file that its reading it backwards, instead of RGB, it's reading BGR. Still a lot of issues related to game play. As I'm pointing for almost 4 years, AI pitting doesn't respect the fuel time, it appears to respect only tire times. When AI pits it instantly got a full tank and it make completely unfeasible to race where pitting for fuel is needed and the time ammount to full the tank is higher than the tires, AI will always pit faster and it completely breaks the gameplay. Thanks for you work. Wait for the fixes. P.S.: Clipping planes are breaking for onboard car (F6) and chase cameras. Commonly the game load and when you access this cameras only ghosts are shown. I realized that using the Photo App and increasing a bit the FOV ~60 degrees, it get fixed. Important to say that the clipping values were not changed, actually I even decreased the initial point, but nothing fixes it. Though Config app in PURE identify the wrong clipping planes and tries to fix it, sometimes it works, sometimes gets even worse clipping the onboard camera and cutting a lot of the view.

I just realized all traffic cars in the CSP traffic tool are just white now. Is there a fix for it or workaround?
Try to keep this short. I am losing the ability to click on apps and buttons while in VR if I have the GUI extension enabled. I can move windows around, but the left mouse button stops working when racing. I’m using VirtualDesktop and a Quest 3. Does not do it in flat mode. I can right or middle click the entire time.
Reason why this is important is that I cannot see all of the apps unless using the new GUI plugin. Things like Pure are not available without the new extension enabled. And it is weird because I can go a few minutes or a few seconds, but at some point the buttons on the app and the menu are unresponsive.

hi how are things? First of all, I would like to congratulate you and thank you for your work. This new Raññy app is fantastic and something like this was already missing in Assetto Corsa. You mentioned that it is possible to put new voice notes. I have been trying but I am quite clumsy and I haven't been able to. great job, but mine has some problems, the function of using 2 chase cam scripts didn't work, every time I take a photo, it removes the ppfilter effects and any color filter I've put, and some apps stopped working. But apart from that, it's fine

Hey Ilja - for latest preview grass does not move in VR for the right eye (Varjo Aero, but others are reporting it too). Please fix.
Grass fx is no longer working after updating to v0.2.5. All grass becomes invisible while the camera view is moving vertically. Grass appears normal when the camera view is static or the camera view moves horizontally. As a result the grass flickers like crazy while driving. This issue persists after disabling all csp extensions except grass fx and disabling pp and every ac setting that has any effect on video and graphics

v0.2.5 installed just fine for me, but every time I try to open any car or track in 'Practice > Rally Stage', AC crashes. Other modes work great. Any ideas?
ok i managed to get it working literally just as i opened this up so you have to load up a practice run, then open your apps and make sure your rally copilot app is turned on. worked for me

hmmm a lot of rally copilot issues mine works even on a non-rally stage... There are 2 in-game apps that you have to turn on and tweak to your liking. -Make sure you have a decent AI line and track terrain surface -You need to select Rally Stage first time in 'Drive' tab to download the apps. -The apps first time launched you may not see it as its a small thin bar on top and maybe hidden in your HUD, hover somewhere in the top of the screen and if you find it move to the right to find the "gear" setting icon to set your language preference, voice volume, speed of pacenotes and arrow 3d hints for arrow and degree of turn -If 3d is not preferred and the top (2d) arrow hints are too small you can grab the corners of the invisible to make it bigger... -There are a list of tracks and cars that was tested so if it doesnt work still maybe its something else There is a little tutorial I made when we were figuring how the Rally copilot app works complete with pictures and screenshots and it was not obvious at first but man! for a starter its pretty dang good! https://discord.com/channels/1195096678764646511/1195148976421339157

With these newer versions of CSP I lose the steering wheel and driver arms view completely. I rolled back to 0.2.1 and it works again. Anything newer, no wheel, no arms.
just looking for some help on this issue i have, where no matter which version of this patch i install, it tells me i have a version mismatch and my csp installation is damaged, normal csp works fine its just every single version of this patch doesnt work. i cant attach a crash log on here tho.
At first the Rally stages worked fine, but now every time I try to launch a rally stage. It crashes, and tells me that my CSP is broken. I have clean installed, but I still get the error. It only happens when launching a rally stage.

Please help, please.. help. Im struggling with this for so long and always give up on playing AC. I get weird flashes at night time, tiny squares and dots in dark spots on screen. Tried to play around with so many settings, AO, EXTRA FX, Sharpenning etc, clean installs too. No fix, new monitor, clean windows install. Everything works fine, followed tutorial. but this. The buildings on shuto look way too bright too. Cant seem to get it look real. Please help.

Really good work on the rally copliot app! Yes it does work! I must say it even works on new tracks as long as the AI spline and track data are not too crazy! There are 2 LUA apps one the copilot the other the pacenotes... you might miss it as it practically small (by default) on the top so for 4K resolution you will see it smaller and maybe hiding between your HUD. If you pause and hover those rally arrow signs there is an invisible UI rectangle that contains the setting icon. Hitting the rally mode prompts you to download the apps as directed above

I had posted a few weeks ago some bugs that I had been getting since a previous update, which I think or I guess was when they added a certain extra option. It was some transparencies on the track and an error when looking back from the cockpit view and this is the video I put in the original post if you want to see it: https://youtu.be/cyz-AKmfD4o I never got any help other than ‘there's a discord’ and even less from the creator. For those who need it, I found the solution after a long time and by chance, or at least it worked for me, in Content Manager->Options->Custom Shaders Patch->General Patch Settings->CPU optimizations->Chunk optimitazion-> I had it set to ‘Advanced (exp)’ and I set it to ‘Basic’, which is the default option, and it worked. I had set that option to optimise the game a bit as I don't have a very powerful PC and it was also a new option. The rear view thing I have no idea, it's random but maybe this will also fix it, I'll have to try it with more time. And on Discord CSP I also put it and I had also asked there, at least they answered me but they didn't know what it could be. I hope it helps someone because someone wrote me on the video but their comment is gone.
When I run the game in rally mode, the camera is out of place or off. Is it because of track issues or CM CSP issues? Is there any way to solve it? I tried a lot of rally tracks and the same thing happened every time I opened it. The current CSP version is 0.2.5preview1 pure latest version 1.4.5
hmm I think it defaults to interior car view so if its out of whack then it'll look weird try adjusting the camera view app then restart the race... there are rally cars (surface FX) and rally tracks used in the development see if they normal in those if not then there maybe something wrong with the car or the track
Hello Ilja not sure if you have any rally workshop but pleased to announce the new rally stage mode works with the new copilot app but only for some of rally/ gravel tracks, I tried a couple of our inhouse 3DaveArtAC dakar tracks and Gravel/ RallyWorld WRC/ Dakar tracks that has good AI spline but it seems not working or it says too large... Is there a github that I can read more into this? BTW thanks for this rally focus updates meant a lot for the AC rally community. Also is there any news/ update of rally watersplash development thanks in advance

I was trying to find a workaround for youtube using the android auto web broswer .. I managed to get to the desktop version of youtube with this link, https://www.youtube.com/?app=desktop kinda works , but the videos will play for 2-5 secs before buffering . Shorts work fine, no buffering with shorts . I thought the web broswer app and the android auto browser shared with each other . Youtube plays fine on web broswer app but not the android auto version .

YouTube audio doesn’t work for the YouTube app in android auto , and the web browser YouTube on android auto is bugged . When you click on a video , it still thinks it’s still on the main YouTube page and ends up redirecting to main YouTube page .

My youtube audio doesnt work
VR bugs: 1. each eye renders a different wet tyre (visible in both RSS Formula Hybrid 2023 and VRC Formula Alpha 2024) 2. NeckFX "show helmet" shows two differently placed helmets, one on each eye. 3. the helmet disappears after a couple of minutes 4. with "blur helmet" option in NeckFX, the entire screen goes to black if rain starts. 5. if Stereo Pass is off, the helmet only appears on the right eye.
Hello Ilja the new rally and copilot mode is very nice. But there is a shameful issue the copilot still work even in race mode. Imagine driving a F1 car in Monza with a copilot. The system should start in rally mode only or you can add an option to enable it on rally mode only or everywhere. We hope that a fix wouldn't take 4 months. It would be strange to share Ac video in Youtube with Copilote on Ai races
You can literally turn off copilot if you want as a regular app. You can turn it off. You can turn it on. Do whatever you want. Maybe you want to learn the track with it, or maybe you want it on a Japanese serpentine. It's not Grand Tourismo, you do whatever you want. Turn it off if you need
Rally stuff is great! I can’t seem to see the co-pilot app expanded when in game? Ie I click on it on the app tray, but it doesn’t expand?
Initially no problems, but then the game crash with rally mod and in normal races against AI on tracks after some laps the copilot activate by itself and begin to give me pacenotes

It's sad but here the creator does not give any solution or answer to anything, the answers are only from the same people who comment. I keep wishing he keeps updating AC with new features, but there is no answer or help at all.
There's a CSP server on Discord. That is also user to user support though, the creator does not answer there either.

Hi. Could you please check the "Use with VR" option in neck fx? The last version of csp in which it worked well was 0.1.80 prev 346. In subsequent versions it doesn't work at all on VR. Thanks

I have 2 super weird issues with AI behaviour in the new build: 1: Sometimes 1 or 2 cars in the racing grid totally freak out, drive against walls with their tyres spinning or they spin all over the track crashing into every oncoming car. Unfortunately i haven't found a way to reproduce it, but it happened to me multiple times, especially with the Formula Alpha 2024. 2: Some cars just don't want to get going when the race starts. It's just one or two cars at most that just stand there and block everybody. I can reproduce this 90% of the time when i start a race on rt_zolder with a full grid of random GT3 cars. Turning off the "New AI behaviour" part of the patch doesn't fix it, so it's nothing in there. Going back to 0.2.3p211 did fix it for me though. I can't test it on 0.2.4 as that version tends to crash 95% of the time i start a race.
Also noticed that Ai will refuse to pit and keep going beyond what they should and end up spinning or lack of rear grip and then crash
yh me personally i use the older patch and sol 2.5 controller instead of the recent sol and it works really good
what patch just the one before this and does the rain fx work?
0.2.5 does not work, 0.2.4 works in other versions, but this version does not work.

Did this change anything with the AI behavior? I noticed on the same track with the same cars (in a user championship...Fuji GP Short for ref) some of the cars just decide not to turn at turn one and instead hit the wall at the speed of light and then just keep the throttle to the floor smoking their tires until I end the race lol. I tried disabling all AI behaviors and reenabling but it happens no matter what is on or off. I dont remember this happening with the .2.4 preview.

I tried the online replay feature and it failed. It brought me back to the pits, replay mode not engaged, no sound, car was still shifting but wouldn't move; I had to click on the Resume button to go back to the game.

New grass effects are horrible, it just gets extreme motion blur while it moves with the wind and there's no option to turn it off.

Fixed it. I was installing the zip file, when I had the eureka moment and installed thhe extracted file. Rain RX working great now!
Idk what I am doing wrong. I have tried everything. I install the patch using Content Manager, and every time I get the same error. ''CSP couldn't find one of its shaders''. I think for 0.1.79 it works fine, and I can use the SOL planner to control weather, but the rain FX doesn't work. Sol is fine, that works, but the Rain FX, I cannot get to work, and I do not know why. Gonna try different methods of installing the custom CSP pach. Help is appreciated. EDIT: I can hear the rain using CSP 0.1.79 Preview 5.

Hey, could we have support for bodykit change sync across the whole server? We added bodykits to our Aero section in the Tune menu, but it doesn't show to anyone else in the server but the player who changed the bodykit. Thanks Ilja)

Another issue that is worth fixing is with multi-level tracks such as Teamsport Preston where I cannot have starting positions at the lower level and need to instead position start positions at the at the top floor, not what it is in reality.

Every time I press R1 on controller to shift up Android Auto on dash screen flashes white and takes a screenshot of itself. Is there anyway to disable Android Auto as I cannot seem to find any keybinds at all for it.
First of all, Thanks for your amazing work for many years. This is not a critic, it's just a suggestion, that I also want to know if AC community are agree with me or not. Now, I don't know if I am the only one that think this, but we being supporters, why not to do a POLL to check what the users could want more/as a priority that need fixing and/or features of the upcoming CSP releases? because right now, here it's what I think ... About being focus on fewer things, I think that we don't need a "Race Sim" game where do EVERYTHING, What do I mean with this? Why not to FOCUS on fix and polish all the MAIN FEATURES of the game/CSP like: Good physics, Good Rain physics, Good Lights/Shadows (like this latest fixing that looks amazing, and LSC of course), Good UI, Good Android Auto, and may be some others ... Instead of being fixing "some" of the old features and problems, and keep introducing and developing "new features" that in many cases, are not need it or not wanted as much as it right now/yet ... Like "Rally Mode" ... Really?, Why to invest time in something that I am sure that most of the AC players will not be using/playing and/or caring about?, Any player that want to play some Rally stuff, will go to OTHER GAME, like Dirt Rally or something like that, and the expierience will be the best possible because that game it was made for RALLY, so ... My point is that why being so spread all over so many things at the same time, instead of being FOCUSED in a few very important/relevant things that really makes big differences in the experience of playing the game as it was meant to be and made for, driving cars (not all kind of cars) in different tracks (not all kind of tracks), and that's it, anything to improve that experience, like all the amazing CSP things that you did from the start, ok improve all that. Even if AC allow you to put a T-Rex as a car and run with it, it doesn't mean that you will be developing and investing time creating a NEW FEATURE called "Jurasic Park". I hope you understand what I meant and don't take this as a bad thing, you are doing so many great stuff, you have so much potential, that it's exactly the reason on why I said this, if you are doing great, I can't imagine how much greater it could be with you focusing just in a fewer things/details. And may be AFTER all those little details are improved and/or fixed, just then, yes ... you could do a Jurasic Park for AC lol!. Thanks! and keep you amazing work.
It's pretty important to realize that you can't please everyone and it's Linux style, not Windows. Or a console game. A lot of people want a damage model. Is it worth doing, or is it not needed? There are rally channels on Discord for Assetto Corsa with 10,000 people. They're happy to have a tool to play with for a while. CSP settings involve managing thousands of parameters. That's billions of configurations. It's a tool. Make your own mod, use advanced physics, etc. People can make their own Jurasic Park mod in lua if they want. It would be cool if someone needs it. That's what community is all about. Unfortunately bugs have been and will be. Android Auto YouTube fall apart due to changing connection parameters to the server itself which cannot be controlled sometimes. Some bugs are impossible to reproduce. In summary : This is the way. But this is the best community, with all its subtleties. Work on bugs will of course continue, as always.
Is there a way to remove or blend the diagonal lines which represent raindrops during replays? The rain spray looks great but the lines take away from the overall look since they would not be visible unless you drove under an overhang like a billboard, garage overhang, etc..
Hello great work as always, loving what you do for the Assetto community. I have a few bug reports to inform you of from this latest update that have been rather hindering to gameplay. Bug 1- when your in chase camera the audio from the cars engine starts to trip up and stop randomly for a number of seconds. I've tried numerous tracks and cars and it does the same thing on all of them, even records it in the replay. Bug 2- the track day AI has become nearly unusable- some particular cars will stay at a very slow speed therefor slowing the rest down causing car crashes a lot, some don't move at all and some wing from one side of the road to the other for unknown reasons. we've had these problems before but now they have escalated to a game breaking level. Bug 3- (this is a small one) at dusk and dawn the sun glare can cause the windscreen to flicker a different shade on and off when in view of the sun randomly as if its compensating from being too bright. thats all. I hope this helps. keep up the great work
Amazing fix of many things, all looking great. Rally Stage mode not working tho, just crash after it load everything, I see for less than a second the car and then crash. And Youtube in Android Auto after you click to play some video, go to black for a while and then go back to video thumbnails, do not play anything. And the flickering looking behind cars at LOD B distance in daylight (sunny midday for example) it was on 0.2.3 ... gone in 0.2.4 ... it's back on 0.2.5 (All this in VR mode, Single Pass Stereo OFF, and ON it is the same anyway)
As mentioned before grass is a bit broken in VR. With my left eye the grass moves with the wind and with the right eye It's still. Makes for a very strange effect that doesnt feel nice with both eyes open.

No Way! That dynamic reset app you mentioned is precisly what I've been wanting in AC for so long now. Corners like bus stop on Spa are such a pain, having the ability to practice it on repeat is so awesome! Thank you good sir

Am I the only one who doesn't get any audio from the Youtube app? The web browser seemed fine on the other hand, except videos on the starting page would get played when you did a search and wanted to play something specifically.
AIs gear-change its messed up. And on some the gas is stucked. Full gas and full brake in to the corners

Hi, thank you very much for continuing to update AC. I haven't tried anything to the new rally stuff because I don't use AC for rally. I still have the same problem as the previous update, when looking back from the cockpit view I see the infinite sky and mountains, not the cars behind me. It happens quite often, but not always, but I can't figure out what triggers this either, and it doesn't happen in the chase view either. I've also noticed that I have another error, I thought it was the previous update but with this one it also happens, there are some strange transparencies in some tracks (not Kunos) that I don't know if it's some option that I have to deactivate or something like that. Please also repair album art in Android auto. Because for now it's sometimes shifted by -1. The title is correct, but album art not always follow change track, and album art from previous track is staying.

After installation of the latest csp, asc.exe is not closing after quiting the race session. Ac Sounds and physics stream to simhub keeps going after shutting the game down to select another track/car in content manager. And the GO button in content manager is not accesible. I have to quit asc.exe in taskmanager to be able to start a new session.
Please add making custom taskbar menu with only few icons.

Does the Rally Copilot app work on NON-rally tracks? When playing in VR, it is nice to turn off most of the apps but being able to have the copilot narrate the turns would really help when it comes to learning new tracks.

Thank you for the continuous work! There's something broken with race grids though. In the Nordschleife 108 pitslots version, a race session lets every car start in the pits. Works fine with older versions.

Ilja, take a look at Karakoram - Passu v0.5 track for my use of 3d trees treelist.ini etc to show high quality rocks instead. Unfortunately they are affected by wind too, it would be great to be able to switch that off and to configure for rocks and other object types too. Track file sizes can be kept very low using this feature.

I am wondering, with this new rally mode in development, would that allow us to create multiple race events for the big free roam maps like NFS Most Wanted and Underground 2? I would personally love to have the ability to create either independent or connected race events in some of those big maps so that the community can relive some classic free roam racing games in modern hardware.
