Better Than Friday - 182
Hi there everyone, hope you had a nice week.
I've canceled the trip/collaboration with Trovatrip, thanks to those who filled out the survey.
After further research I'm afraid I just don't have enough quality control over the trip - which is definitely not cheap - and after reading some less than flattering reviews, I've decided it's just not worth the risk.
It's a shame. I would've loved to have seen some of you in Europe, perhaps another way one day.
Meanwhile, all else goes well.
There's a new review of Salter's outstanding 'A Sport and a Pastime'.
Thanks for your support. Here's some stuff for the weekend...
A cheery read, no doubt. Featuring Adam Lehrer.
2. A Polyphonic Traditional Corsican Folk Song
I've loved this song since I was in my early twenties.
Great performance here as well.
3. Confession Scene from Ingmar Bergman's 'The Seventh Seal'
Masterful. I need to rewatch this. Haven't seen since I was a teenager, I think.
It's remarkable how something can be so hammy and moving simultaneously.
"That's all that exists in the end. What has been written down."

You definitely need to rewatch The Seventh Seal. And if you've got 4 minutes and 37 seconds to spare, consider checking out this short video essay I made on The Seventh Seal and Kierkegaard. Might be right up your alley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8B_D0efnj7E&t=3s&ab_channel=boyinthebadlands
