Better Than Friday - 354

Hi there everyone, hope this finds you well.
Just shot the review for All the Pretty Horses, coming your way soon.

Had an enormous dramatic dust storm followed by thunder and lightning the other night. Never a dull moment.

Thank you very much for your continued support and have a great weekend.

1. Book to read: A once lost Algernon Blackwood tale: The Human Chord (Paid Link)
An eerie story about a man trying to say something he definitely should not.
Found out about this one through a post by Mike Vos

2. The bookseller Sylvia Beach discussing Ernest Hemingway showing her his scars

As she puts it, they weren't even healed from when he got them in Italy. Quite the story. Found via @atelierzweig

3. Terence Stamp recalls the direction given to him by Federico Fellini

The older I get, the more I suspect that, often, the old cinematic masters were just throwing shit against the wall.

4. Elton Britt - Cowpoke

Recently discovered this country classic filled with mournful yodelling.
Written by Stan Jones, same guy who wrote "Ghost Riders in the Sky".

5. Danube Incident - Lalo Schifrin
Lalo Schifrin was the composer for the original Mission Impossible.
This track was famously sampled for the song "Sour Times" by Portishead.

The door handle at the Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.
   Chamber spins and everything.
