Read that trilogy years ago. Second novel, The Crossing broke my heart from the beginning. Third … brings the two protagonists together and is tragically Cormac . All three are a hard slice of life for sure.
Man, I made it in the better than food cinematic universe. Made my day! Thank you for taking my recommendation, friend! Here’s to future coffees in Arizona!
My pleasure! Cheers-ing you back to future coffees in Texas. One day I'll ride that damn horse, thanks for the inspiration to do so.
I literally JUST read this. I personally felt it was a banger, but maybe I'm just tired of the reading this wave of up-and-coming authors. I thought the image of the craftsman melting slugs into coins (described by Alejandra's aunt) seemed like a pretty direct carry over from the dream The Kid had towards the end of blood meridian.
Very cool - Glad you enjoyed. Very interesting, however I don't recall it - I gotta reread Blood Meridian. It has been so long.
Gilbert, AZ. Welcome to the Valley of the Sun!
Nice! Thanks very much - Appropriately named. It's a canicular inferno. Beautiful area though!
