Better Than Friday - 345

Good evening friends, how goes?

I thought Florida was hot but Mississippi is something else.
Hope you're having nice, and cooler, weather, wherever you find yourself.

About to finish up Gustav Meyrink's "The Golem". Review coming asap.

Thank you so much for your continued support, and have a great weekend.

1. Book to read: River: Poems by Ted Hughes (Paid Link)
A recommendation from friend and patron Hayden, who highlighted the poem "October Salmon".

2. Rising End by The Blue Angel Lounge
Somber atmospheric track I've been digging as of late.

3. Roberto Begnini at the Oscars in 1997 when Life is Beautiful won Best Foreign Language Film

That man is a gem of the human race. I remember seeing this when I was young.
Just watched Down By Law again recently. Roberto carries that whole damn film.

4. Henry Rollins is releasing lost tracks by The Cramps
This is a big deal. Fascinating backstory by Henry in this video. Hats off to Rollins.

5. That time in 1984 when the punk band CRIME played San Quentin Prison in their iconic Police uniforms
The fact that this actually occurred is astounding.
