Status update Episode 12
Happy Friday!
The animation queue is no more. Each PC is now rendering its final animation, and I have even added some animations to be re-rendered to PCs that started idling.
The frames-per-day speed this week was very good, and if it keeps up, the PCs would need 3 more days to render the remaining animations. However, it doesn't quite work like that because PCs will start idling, and each PC is responsible for its own animation queue. That means the completion date is determined by the slowest PC.
I tried to estimate the remaining render time we should expect. I distributed the animations so that the fastest PCs do the most work, and we should be looking at ~5 more days of rendering before all animations complete. It's a bit tricky to be sure of an exact day, but I'm confident it'll all be 100% rendered sometime next week. And I'm happy that all PCs made it through the heat stroke and can get some needed rest and maintenance soon.
I've been polishing all week, and I've actually replayed the entire season on Steam from a fresh persistent file. I've tested and unlocked the 48 new achievements I added.
While doing so, I found a handful of bugs in older episodes and additional areas for improvement in episode 12.
Playing the entire season from start to finish like this really makes me appreciate this journey even more. It took a long time to get this season done, but I'm very proud of it. It feels like a cohesive experience, and I couldn't be happier about the season finale.
I still have polishing to do, and I'll work as hard as possible over the next 5 days to make the most of the time I have while the PCs are still the bottleneck. After that, I will look into getting beta testing started ASAP.
There will be more information about that later this month, along with a preliminary changelog for episode 12.

I can't tell you what will happen. But Season 4 is the final season of the game, and it won't be like the previous ones.
I try so hard not to get too excited and not let myself be overtaken by the hype, but I just can't! The first thing that I think about when I sit in front of my computer is the episode 12. And it just seems we're so close from the release! Thanks for your hard work DPC! I'm glad that everything goes so smoothly and that rendering is almost finished. With how thorough you were in the polishing process, beta testing should go smoothly as well. This might be the episode that gets me the most excited for to date. So much stuff is happening all at once! I've been replaying the game all the way from episode 1 a few time to refresh my memory and to correct a few mistakes that I did on some of my main games. This got me so hyped to see more! Have a fun week end and a productive next week DPC! Don't forget to take some time off too. You deserve it.

this was my second ever VN i have ever played and i must say it has been the best by far i have experienced. good story good gameplay, all around very well polished. i have lost days just playing it over and over to see what new things i can find

We are getting really close now and the excitement is at its highest cant wait to see all the characters again and what you have been cooking with this episode Doc but i know its gonna be peak. It's most important part is that you are proud and happy about the season finale, i know we are all gonna love it. You've been working really hard the past while to get the episode done and i believe i can speak for everyone when i say we really appreciate it, and you deserve some well earned time off once episode 12 is fully released. Great progress. I'm very excited to figure out all the possible relations that matter even from smaller choices. I realized I have to do a few more runs in the Others branch as I only got one on Lily's path right now. And I wanna get all the remaining lewd scenes and achievements I haven't got yet

Just a quick FYI, Patreon made changes and combined my fan account with an old defunct creator account I had. I made the mistake of deleting all my old data on Patreon so you may see odd comments with a "comment deleted", above it where I had posted. As time goes on this will be less noticeable. So that sounds amazing Doc. Glad to hear about the progress and the expectation of getting beta testing started. The hype train is at full speed and barreling down the track now. I started playing new playthroughs on Steam with a fresh persistent file myself. Other's/ Lily first and now I'm in the middle of Josy/Maya. Hi, I finished your game not long ago, thanks to the French community that translated it. At first, I had a lot of doubts when I saw the premise because I thought it would be another game where the main character simply goes from one conquest to the next. I couldn't have been more wrong. I've never played a game that is as well-written and as emotionally deep as yours. Thank you so much for all the work you've put into it. I would have loved to discuss a couple of points that didn't feel entirely logical to me, but I imagine you already have an enormous amount of work on your plate. I wish you the best of luck with everything, and thank you again for creating such an amazing game!
Just a heads up... French translation sounds like a mod. You would not be the first having crashes during the next episode when using mods. I hope for you, everything is fine. But if it happens to be unplayable, you know why.
