Final Status update Episode 11
We have finally reached the final status update for episode 11. Two days ago, the PCs finished rendering the animations, and shortly thereafter, I continued to prepare the beta builds.
Beta testing
Beta testing started yesterday, and the testers are digging into the episode. They have plenty of work ahead of them.
I've seen many newcomers ask, and to clarify, my beta tests are always private with my trusted team of testers, and it's not something available from my Patreon tiers. It's the final step before release that I carry out to bring you a more polished experience.
I've played the episode a lot, and I'm at the point where it's hard for me to spot issues on my own - my brain feels like mush. That's where the testers excel—they bring fresh eyes that will find things I missed.
I'm fixing everything that gets reported, and testers have a checklist to work through during beta testing. Everything on that list needs a tick before testing is complete, and testing will be allowed to take as long as needed. How much time is needed varies from episode to episode.

My next communication with you will be the release date announcement. After I get a good sense of how much needs to be fixed during beta testing, I will announce it.

One thing i haven't seen anyone talk about yet is the fact that at the end of season 2 for Jill's parent's house and the MC's mom's home was the same and how she was talking about how she believes in destiny. I have yet to see them bring that together. I believe Jill's mom and Bionca's mom were friends with the MC's mom and I'm hopping that is the cause and would like to see it all come together.
I think the same, but without Jill's mom. Jill's dad mentioned that a friend of him recommended the house as the former owner had to sell it quickly - this former owner would be MC's grand father, Lynette's dad. I have the feeling that Bianca's mom and Lynette were friends. One of Lynette's friends looks a bit like Bianca, so she could be her mother. So my bet is that destiny brought MC back "home", where his mom used to live by being together with Jill. I doubt that there is any kinship between MC and Jill (some think there is) as Jill's family simply bought the house after MC's mom and her parents left.
Ah shit everybody. It's about that time again. Can't wait to see how the story keeps unfolding.

I know this is a pretty minor thing but I was just wondering if there has ever been talk about possibly adding a Number like 1-5 for dialogue options and you can just hit the appropriate key to help make the communication experience even smoother. Would be really convenient to play this game with one hand. lol

How long is this beta lol
It really depends on how much is left to fix on the episode. It could be a week to a month. If something is seriously broken then longer. I would assume this Friday we should hear a release window. But it could come later or sooner.
Am I the only one who always hopes for some more Dungeons and Gremlins? I know it cannot be included in all episodes but damn, I had a blast with those 😄.

There is a phone chat option at the end of Chapter 10 in the Others path where Elena talks about what Joy boy said to you during the Thanksgiving Party. If correct choices are done through playthroughs you get a 3rd option which I believe gives you option later to do something with her.

Exactly.. I think anyone who complains about dev time especially here should be penalized by delaying their ability to download latest release by at least 1 week ;)

One of the things that I have learned playing this game over the years is that different approaches lead to a lot of different situations. For instance, when I first played, I made decisions based upon my own ethics. Needless to say, my decisions led me down the Chick path and multiple relationships at the same time. As we got further along, this led to a lot of entanglements especially when you got to the point that you had to choose one. Lately, I've been playing the game (repeatedly) with an individual focus instead of just DIK, neutral, or Chick and playing all the girls (Jill, Josy/Maya, Sage, and Bella) individually making choices (when options are present) that I knew would cause less conflict later on. For example, if I was going Jill-centric, I would just choose to be friends with Josy/Maya and be less aggressive with Bella. This leads to great diversity with the story lines. Just some suggestions to those that are new to the game. Considering that DPC is the master of the unexpected, however, I am sure that more craziness is in store for us.
The 100% dik or 100% chick route is also an interesting route to take. I've found that even with guides it's hard to not accidentally pick one opposing your path, especially because you don't find out if you are perfect until the end of each episode.
Good timing. I've run out of "games" that I've wanted to try and the remainder seem highly likely to just make me angry with how bad they are (low tolerance for objectively dumb/bad. I could never stand to watch the bad pornos (pretty much all of them) other than to mock the hell out of them). At least 262 "games" later, this is still my favorite and I look forward to the next round of updates. I also appreciate how this one hasn't jumped the shark yet. Some AVN's seem to lose their way or others just get old/tired/stuck/formulaic for various reasons. Progression is important for story telling. It feels like a lot of shows/movies and even AVN's don't realize this and just like to milk a good start. Flavors matter, writing matters, as do relationships. It's nice to get most everything in a single package. TLDR: I'M EXCITED GUYS!!!
Agreed. I have played in excess of 30 AVNs and I'd say that maybe 5 are worth playing over and over and, at most, 10 are keepers. The rest are, for the most part, awful.

Just been doing another playthrough and found myself noticing that Mona had blue eyes, and it made me wonder if maybe she was the "Thirsty Ghoul"? The other option I can think of is the pink haired girl in our chem class who has not yet been named that I know of. Just speculating of course, but feel bad that Mona just walked off on us.
Interesting theory. I somehow have the feeling that it will never be resolved, who that was. Just some mysterious character to wrack our brains about... I could be wrong, though.

This has probably been asked and answered many times, so apologies if that's so. For anyone who has gone the Steam route, how do we get from the version/s available on Steam to the current release? Is that already available, a future plan, or what? Thanks and sorry if I've missed previous announcements that make it clear.
You download the latest Patreon version and import your Steam/GOG save at the start of Season 3. Simply download the latest release, unzip, and play. Be careful not to merge the game with any Steam content.

Great news :) Now that it comes to wanting to replay all the branches to refresh my memory, I have a feature request - I do not know if this would be possible with renpy: Would there be a chance to relive the choices I made throughout Episodes 1-11 by using a savegame and having an "autoplay" that has all choices-preselected according to my savegame? I suspect that unfortunately, the savegames do not retain all the information of how I got to where I am - but it would be nice to know exactly my "personal lore" of which conversations I had with whom on a specific playthrough.

Hmmm at this point, i believe that the release date will be some time in late Feb. to middle of March
Maybe? Beta testing usually takes up to two weeks, and at the end of the second week the episode would be released. Dunno why that should be different this time (it is a bigger Episode though), testing already started at saturday so I have high hopes for the 21st 🤞.

People who have never Beta tested can't understand the confidence you need for the tester to be valuable for you. Their job is to TRY and break crap and to note any issues they have on multiple playthroughs. Its not just getting early access to the game. Doc I hope your testers enjoy the game and that it is a smooth run, but I know "stuff happens". Enjoy your time as the testers run through Episode 11, and I have every confidence I will enjoy it myself soon.
