OVERDRIVE REALISTIC ECONOMY — V5 UPDATE COMING SOON 💰🚛

V5 is the next major update to the current OverDrive Realistic Economy V4.

This is not a separate new mod. V5 is the next version of the same project, with one major new system at the center of the update.

🌍 NEW LIVE FUEL PRICE SYSTEM

The biggest change in V5 is a new external companion application that reads current real-world fuel price data from countries around the world.

Instead of relying only on static fuel values, V5 is being designed to use up-to-date fuel prices and bring them into the economy system.

That means fuel costs can better reflect the country you are currently driving through.

And one of the most important parts:

IT IS DESIGNED TO WORK WITH EVERY MAP COMBO.

You will not need a separate version for each map setup.

Whether you use the standard SCS map or a huge custom map combination, the system is being designed to work across different setups without requiring individual fuel-price packs.

💸 EARNINGS REBALANCE

Job payouts are also being adjusted further.

The goal is to make money stay important for much longer and make career progression feel more rewarding.

Long and difficult jobs should still be worth doing, but you should not become rich after only a few deliveries.

⛽ OPERATING COSTS

Fuel, repairs and other expenses will have a bigger impact on your actual profit.

A delivery will not only be about how much money it pays.

You will also need to think about how much it costs you to complete it.

🚛 TRUCK PROGRESSION

Buying a new truck should feel like a real achievement.

V5 continues moving the economy away from the base-game feeling where expensive trucks become easy to afford very early.

🏢 COMPANY GROWTH

Garages, additional trucks and company expansion are being rebalanced as well.

Building a large company should take time instead of happening almost immediately.

📉 LONG-TERM ECONOMY

Another important focus of V5 is the later part of your career.

Money should continue to matter even after you already own a truck and begin expanding your company.

V5 is still W.I.P.

Some values and systems are still being tested, so the final release may include additional changes and adjustments.

Current V4 users will be able to move to V5 when the update is released.
