OVERDRIVE GAMEPLAY OVERHAUL V2 — W.I.P. 🚛🔥

A much bigger update to OverDrive Gameplay Overhaul is currently in development.

The goal of V2 is simple: make ETS2 feel more realistic, more immersive and more challenging without completely changing what makes the game enjoyable.

This update focuses on everyday driving, traffic behavior, damage, visibility and atmosphere.

What’s currently planned for V2:

🚦 Dynamic Rush Hours

Traffic density will change depending on the time of day, so morning and afternoon traffic can feel noticeably busier.

🌙 Low Night Traffic

Between around 00:00 and 04:00, roads will become much quieter, making night driving feel more natural and different from daytime traffic.

🚗 More Aggressive AI

Traffic will behave less passively, creating more situations where you actually need to pay attention to what other vehicles are doing around you.

💥 Higher Truck & Trailer Damage

Mistakes, collisions and careless driving will have more noticeable consequences.

🪞 Realistic Mirror FOV

Mirror settings will be adjusted to provide a more natural and believable field of view while driving.

📱 Dimmed GPS at Night

The navigation display will become less bright during nighttime driving, reducing the unrealistic glow inside the cabin.

🌲 Increased Vegetation LOD

Vegetation will stay visible from greater distances, improving the overall look of the environment.

⚙️ More balancing and tuning is also being worked on, so the final release may include additional changes beyond what is listed here.

This is still W.I.P., so some values and features may be adjusted before release.
