[News] More content incoming!
Hello everyone!
Thank you all for the feedback on the last demo. It seems like people are really enjoying it, but we still have more improvements coming!
First, we have fixed the difficult settings, made major tweaks to the parry animations and also fixed the way the stats affect damage and armour.
Improved Photo Mode
There will be better controls for the camera, character and some visual tweaks in Photo Mode:
New Spells Incoming:
And remember when I said the new architecture would make it much easier to expand combat? Things are going quite smoothly on that side, and we're starting with what each character does when you press Q. Kalyskah has her telekinesis, where she can pull and push enemies. Now we're implementing what the other characters will do:
Laver
Laver is the fastest vampire in Kalyskah's Legion. That old "teleportation" spell Kalyskah had was supposed to be something he developed, and she learned. But the old visuals were strange: the character moved instantly forward, and the way we blended the smoke VFX with the dash didn't look as good as intended. Now we've made the effects closer to what we wanted, with smoother camera movement and a better vampiric visual. So when you tap Q with him, he will dash:
There's still some awkwardness in his feet, and I'll try to improve that before we release it to you.
We wanted Laver's speed to be more than a dash, and after discussing how we can keep the idea that the combat with him is supposed to be fast-paced, we thought about a system where he could "mark" a location or enemy. So when you hold Q, he will throw whatever weapon he is carrying. The weapon stays on the ground until you release the button, then he moves to it and performs a light attack. If you press Block, the weapon returns to his hand, and you can release the button midair to perform aerial attacks.
You can also mark an enemy that will have the weapon attached to them until you release the key and Laver attacks them:
Nemesis
Nemesis is the most powerful character in the game in terms of Magic, so making her push or pull enemies wouldn't be enough since she hardly gets her own hands dirty to get what she wants. She should be able to harm people without touching them or spending too many resources.
So tapping Q will make her throw a chain lightning. The number of enemies, range and other traits will all be affected by her sorcery stats, although we haven't balanced the power yet:
And holding Q will make her lose stamina over time as she electrocutes her foes:
Ilreth, not done yet!
Ilreth is supposed to control the battlefield with her smarts. We haven't made her abilities yet, but they are designed:
Her Q ability will make her throw a bomb, and holding Q will delay the bomb's explosion so it happens only when you release the key.
When will we release version 0.32.1?
As soon as we're done with what is left for Ilreth and we've properly tested and made at least one pass at polishing the visual presentation of the abilities I just showed. So it should take up to two days unless an unexpected issue comes up!
Thank you all, and again, now is the best time to throw your ideas for the combat or what you'd like to see as spells or abilities, especially for characters such as Ilreth that are not vampires and I can't say I've seen many games that made Artificers/Inventors playable in a third-person combat like ours.

Hello, I have to say it turned out great. I played the Arena good job. I played the game.
Wholesome!! Thank you!
Thanks and also when we will be able to romance the companion love this game
When we bring back the quests we'll be first focusing on the main story of the prologue so we can finish it once and for all and then we'll expand from this spine
Great work!!!
