Infant Crib & Playmat Fix

Is your Sims gameplay focused around families? Then you've probably encountered this bug: https://forums.ea.com/idea/the-sims-4-bug-reports-en/pc-infant-autonomously-teleports-out-of-crib-onto-floor/13631456.

Infants have been unable to go to sleep in their cribs since May, popping out of their cribs onto the floor since June, and literally dropping THROUGH them to the floor since August. Every patch seems to make it worse, not better. And the problem extends to playmats too, it just doesn't result in a visual drop because the mat is already so close to the ground. What's a player with a large family to manage to do? Enter Infant Crib & Playmat Fix!

All of this nonsense comes down to posture and interaction incompatibilities with the crib and playmat objects. The infant's attachment to whatever they are lying on is disrupted when they change postures or interact with another Sim. This mod seeks to prevent the detachment whenever possible, and reinstate the connection if the infant does get displaced.

The mod watches for the detached state and reattaches the infant to the object they are on. It acts in three situations:

• When the zone loads with an infant already detached

• When an interaction ends and leaves them detached

• When a posture change during a milestone drops the attachment

It also turns an infant back onto their back when tummy time ends to prevent them being stuck face down.

NOTE: You may see your infant Sims passing through a sit up posture when reattaching to their crib even if they have not yet reached the sit up milestone (if you have Growing Together installed). This is EA's vanilla posture transition sequence and I could not alter it.

Since this is another bugfix for something that is super-frustrating for players, I'm making it available immediately on this post before it clears CurseForge moderation. I will update this post with the CF link after it is live.

Install: download, unzip, drop the deadlystingnyc_infant_crib_playmat_fix folder into your Mods folder, ensuring that Script Mods are on.
