UPDATE: NPC Household Variety Fix v1.7
Yes, I know, I'm giving everyone whiplash with the quick updates on this one, but when I find a bug during my playtesting that impacts other people's games, I really want to get a fix out as soon as I can. So what changed this time? Well...
I reverted adding multi-Sim templates to the pool used to generate disguised aliens, as only one of the adult household members would be an alien and any children generated would automatically be human. This was not in line with intended behavior so disguised aliens will once again generate as single-Sim households.
The filtering I had set up to prevent occult and named singleton Sims (like Father Winter or Grimmy) from being pulled into inappropriate walkby situations or job assignments was keying off the word "occult". This caused custom traits containing the word "occult" from triggering the filter, which caused club gatherings and other social invitations to fail. Now the mod reads a Sim's occult status directly instead of relying on a keyword match.
Lastly, the mod was not respecting filters belonging to other mods, often completely breaking their ability to select an appropriate Sim. After failing to locate the qualifying Sim, a random Sim would be pulled in by the filter instead. Now the mod leaves custom filters completely alone and lets them get on with their business.
Again, I HIGHLY recommend that you update to the latest version of the mod. It's available now on CurseForge and my master download post. Happy Simming!
