WIP: Next scene & DeepSkin V4
Hey everyone, quick update on what I've been cooking up lately😁
Aside from spending a ton of time working on DeepSkin recently, I’ve also (finally) started working on my next scene. Building scenes is still my favorite part of VaM, so it feels nice to pour that creativity back into a new scene. Juggling both can be tough, but I'm alternating my work on them and will be finishing DeepSkin V4 first so the new scene can take full advantage of it.
DeepSkin V4
First, here is a little taste of what V4 is bringing: a complete eye overhaul. The goal here is to handle the kind of detailing currently done by eye clothing items (like shadows and reflections), but giving you more control and a higher overall quality. I'm also experimenting with screen-space reflections so the eyes realistically reflect the eyelids, eyelashes, nose, and environment at grazing angles.
Next Scene: Cozy elf fantasy vibes
I've also started work on my next scene, which will feature an elf-themed, cozy fantasy ambience. A beautiful elven girl enjoying the late-night air out on a balcony before stepping inside for a hot, steamy bath. And who knows what mischievous things might happen during her bath time 😉
The scene is still a work on progress, so some things can still change, but check out the screenshots below for a first look at the vibe I'm aiming for!
