Drone Show v2.0 is out! [Changelog] [Free + Pro]
Hey everyone! Drone Show 2.0 is out. It’s a full rebuild for BeamNG 0.40 with real LED drones that light up the night, and in Pro a complete drone show with a launch pad, 3D shapes and a firework finale.
What’s new (Free and Pro)
LED drones - bright white cores with coloured glow around them. Vivid mode for deep, bright coloured dots. The old look is still there as Classic
The show now lights up the ground under it in its colours
13 shapes and 9 flags, plus outline mode for text and shapes
Text in 10 fonts and any language, emoji in their own colours, and | for a second line
New fly-in “From the sky”, take-off order and soft easing
New shows now flow out of the one that’s already in the sky
New “Above my car” placement. Size, distance and height can be changed while the show is already up
Night for the show: one click for midnight, one more to get your time back
10 palettes and your own custom palette
Own tab in Modslab Hub (press G). Without the hub, the app has all the settings
Radial menu and keys (unbound by default) for show, replay, land, night and settings
What’s new in Pro
Launch pad - take-off in waves, curved flights and landing back on the pad
Hold effects - colour wave, sparkle, pulse, chase
Firework finale - launch it any time or use it as the end of every show
9 3D shapes that spin in the sky
Pictures and playlists now work from both the hub and the app, and playlists are saved

Fixed for BeamNG 0.40
The Drone Show app didn’t open on 0.40
The glow drones showed red “no material” squares on 0.40 and their colours never changed. They’re replaced with the new LED drones
No more warnings in the log when the game starts
Other fixes
3D formations jumped to a random angle when they finished forming and snapped flat when they left
“Lock to world” didn’t do anything. It’s now “Follow the camera”, and the formation moves with your view
Drones stayed in the sky after changing maps
A picture changed drone size and glow for every show after it
Pictures in a playlist could get skipped
Drones took off from a fixed height instead of from the ground
Settings were forgotten after a restart, now they’re saved
Big shows run much smoother now, only the drones that move are updated every frame
