Violet needs to remind Patrick that he's NOT immortal, just very long-lived. Barring accidents, the Fae will outlive HIM. They also need to remind him that no matter how long he can live, he still has to get there one moment at a time. Life is meant to be lived. (I almost said "Life is for the living," but there are vampires in the room...)
