I am a primary school teacher at Belgium. Ik really enjoy singing with small children myself. I still remember a girl singing this song at her communion. It was great. But a voice like you Lucy, I never had that in my class. Extraordinary, wow wow wow.

Lucy - I listen to this video everyday at least one to two or more times a day because I love it and you singing it so beautifully. You made the comment that you used that video as an audition how did that go what was the results. Please do more videos singing classical songs. My eyesight is about all gone (down to 10% ) but my hearing is still very very good. Best things I love listening to are your videos and the Bible and I listen to both about the same amount of time. You are exceptional. You managed to make the tone of your voice different opera like. You transport me out of time. This was the music for my dads ceremony in 2014 when hé passed away. You really are a metamorph or magician capable of transforming yourself and your voice into so many different styles , tones or types and give them more depth, richness and authenticity than the original or first versions of the song 🥰

Oh my that was so beautiful. 🥹 I've heard many great versions of this famous aria by opera professionals but you somehow bring a more emotively connective nuance.

I was in the grocery store last week and of course there was background music, mostly pop. The original of a song that Lucy covered was playing when I came in. I don't really remember what it was. Maybe Fix you or Evergreen. In any case I stopped in my tracks. I knew after one word that it was not Lucy. Lucy's cover was so much better that I had a hard time listening. I had to restrain myself from going to the manager and demanding that he put Lucy on. Just kidding. Mostly. It was all canned. He had no control. It is almost like anything that Lucy records becomes the standard and any other version grates on my nerves. There are exceptions of course. I still love to hear Karen Carpenter and Eva Cassidy. I was living in D.C. when Eva was in the clubs there. She still bring tears. Such a tragic death. But hearing Lucy sing Eva songs wipes the tears away. Would love for Lucy to do a studio recording of Song Bird.

There have been thousands of recordings of this song. It takes a great deal of courage and confidence to sing it as part of an audition. Like everything that Lucy does, she makes it her own. The remarkable thing is that you can hear the old Lucy and the new Lucy in both versions. The elegance, polish, beauty, charm, and that soothing voice are unique to her. This is marvelous Lucy.
