Here's our latest Honest Government Ad - which as always, was made possible thanks to you.
This one is part of our Climate Shitfuckery Series - a series of Honest Government Ads focusing on climate and energy policy: we covered the Kyoto carryover credits; then EVs and the "Future Fuels Strategy" aka FFS.. and now it's time to shine a light on GISERA.
Not many people have heard of GISERA - the alliance between five of Australia's biggest gas/fracking companies, and the CSIRO, our trusted and beloved science agency. But that's about to change hopefully, now that we've made an Honest Government Ad about it.
And that's a good thing because it's extremely concerning when Governments allow the country's scientific agencies to be infiltgrated, hollowed out and parasitised by companies which have a massive interest in playing down the harmful effects of gas mining and fracking - on the environment, our health, and of course the climate crisis.
The scariest thing is that many CSIRO scientists say they're unable to communicate their research fndings to the public; or to speak out about this bullshit for fear of losing their funding, or even their jobs.
So I thought we should lend them a hand. Coz at a time like this, we absolutely need our scientists to be able to do their jobs.
Thanks for your patience. I was planning to publish this before the end of June, but for this one I really wanted to make double-sure we'd crossed all the deeds and dotted all the lies before publishing.
For this episode I also spoke with a former weather forecaster from the Bureau of Metereology who left the BoM precisely because of what they saw was happening there. If all goes well, they'll be my guest on the podcast - which will come out in about a week.
And as always, we'll publish the PG version in a couple of days, so keep an eye out on our Teachers Page for that one.

And all the while I become just a little more depressed about the planet’s future. But thank you for continuing to “have a go” at getting an alternative view point out there.
Great work as usual, the humor makes the sad news tolerable to watch. ;) Australia may be one the most blessed countries on earth in terms of availability of natural resources (nearly infinite amount of sun, wind), yet the bozos in power are hopeless puppets of the mining and fossil fuel industries. Love the irony of a gaslit recovery. Twas a couple a my uni mates did the CSIRO research into coal bed methane as it was known in the early 90s. It got changed to coal seam gas because Seam is smaller than a bed so less bad and gas is generis whereas methane is a known atmosphere wrecker.
That's a shame, then we could have called it "coal bad gas"
The fossil fool mammonites have now infiltrated everywhere! They are a virus more lethal than COVID, infecting science agencies, meteorology services, even universities to make sure they can keep piling up the ching-ching. I am so disgusted with what is happening, not only in Oz, but worldwide. We can see the consequences of global warming right in front of us, and these shitwits are telling us not to believe our "lying eyes."
