mark of the beast (part a)
John Doerr teaches this week's lesson. I was planning to include a new section to the 1611 Fellowship called "Word of the Week," however there was too much background noise in the audio file, so we'll try again next week.

i see hell here (day, and night) Psalms 32 i see Adam and Eve here (not ashamed, taste) Psalms 34
(unrelated) emergency sirens went off on everybodys phone in the UK, i nearly catapulted myself thru the ceiling. and just when i thought it was over, 2 more sirens went off. . https://youtu.be/qVMERi2zmzg (obviously, loud audio) . https://youtu.be/S6wLv8QBsfc . https://youtu.be/thD3pLlHIe4 (no amount of deep-settings seems to be able to prevent it, they appear to just keep resetting whenever they feel like) government did the most short-sighted thing ever. instructions on the emergency-alert were to report ALL fires with 999. and now nobody can get thru anything anywhere....great planning
the houses being destroyed, reminded me of that dream backlong, where many houses (and their gardens) were turned utterly into rubble people in the cities, have been burning trash-mountains in the streets, and others have done arson. i'm not surprised that there are fires everywhere.
Hi Thomas, Did God punish Israel when she fell away?
Yes, to me the connection is obvious as other nations are grafted into the same branch and root that Israel has. I don’t know why others don’t get it. They claim there is no special covenant with any other nation.
I was talking to people yesterday about whether God judges nations in history, and I took the position that he does in fact judge nations and raises them up and brings them down. I also said that if a nation is declared to be a Christian one, then they would be treated as though they were in a covenant and woukd be judged by their words whether they are truly faithful. It’s been a while since I read the history books of the Old Testament, but I did read them a few times, and it was definitely my impression that God was raising nations up and bringing them down, and did the same to the Kingdom of Israel. Since those who abide by Jesus Christ are grafted onto the same root and branch, to me it follows that we are treated much like Israel was, and that to whom much is given, much is required. I did find passages about God generally judging among nations, but it’s been too long for me to remember anything specific from the history books of the Old Testament. Does anyone have any passages or stories that come to mind? I think it would be cool to talk about, and it might make us more aware of how the world and people around us are playing out in the eyes of God.
Basically the question is, does God punish nations that have fallen away from God?
Great teaching for all who have ears to hear!
I appreciate the foundational teachings Reg and John teach
