IDSG Bonus 30: Cantwell's Dee

I finally managed to get my shit together enough to set up my new recording space, and that very evening Jack and I decided to test the equipment to see how things were working, possibly for release as a bonus episode. If you're a fan of our work, or a hater of the Crying Nazi, you're in luck, because overall the system works quite well.

I say this in the episode multiple times, but thanks to all of you who are still supporting me here while I've had health/personal issues. I had surgery in July and couldn't work for two months, and since then I've been on reduced hours. Without your help I don't know how I would have gotten this far.

Please enjoy this little chat, and with any luck the next "real" episode will be here in another couple of weeks.

So glad to have you back that I finally became a patron. Solidarity from someone who also suffers from chronic post-surgical iatrogenic health issues.

Excited about potential payed livestreams etc! But also, have you considered adding slightly higher Patreon tiers ($2, $3, $5 or so) just as a sliding scale without tiered bonus content? (e.g. folks who pay $1 get all the same bonus content as folks who pay $2.) Case in point: I just went to double-check the tiers after you mentioned your surgery, and I was disappointed that I couldn't even give $2/mo. I would literally not notice paying my $2/mo (and I wouldn't want additional content from the 2nd-Nth tiers anyway), but you'd feel a comparatively big impact if even ~100 of your patrons went up a tier from $1/mo to $2/mo. An honor-system means-based or "give what you're comfy with" sliding scale seems like a perfectly ethical way to get closer to having your basic needs met without sacrificing your values.

I'm so glad to hear your voices again and I wish I weren't so happy to hear new main eps are coming because it sucks that we need them.
