IDSG Bonus 5: Downfall
We were going to do this for Episode 88, but another opportunity popped up so instead Jack and I discuss the 2004 film Downfall (yes, we talk about the Hitler memes) for this month's bonus episode. We stay much more on-topic than usual for these bonus eps, but also discuss the role of WWII in the US and UK educational system, as well as the subtleties of historical accuracy within both this film and The Bunker (1981), which we both watched as companion to Downfall.

Interesting. I haven't seen either Downfall or The Bunker. Guess I'll have to go check those out tonight before checking out the episode.
My favourite version of the Downfall meme-video was a Polish version in which hitler finds out one of our far-right ultracathonationalist rags put on it's cover that he was a leftist. :)
