Devlog 19

I fine-tuned the animations—they're no longer as short, and I also fixed a bug that was causing playback issues. I gathered feedback from all sources and broke it down into tasks. Some are already done—for example, you can now skip the week ahead to Sunday.

NTR guys are clearly underrepresented in the comments, which is strange.

I collected all the proposals in one place and highlighted from them what I can do.

Week skipping feature, and max button.

Honestly, it's hard to remember and mention everything that was done because while working on one issue, I run into others. Sometimes I fix them right away, sometimes they turn into new tasks, constantly expanding the to-do list. Sure, there are whole separate tasks too, but right now it's a more chaotic phase—whatever I see, I fix.

Let me try to list what I did in more detail:

  • Fine-tuned animations. The animations now look good individually and don’t end too quickly.

  • Fixed a bug in the animations. There’s no longer any dependency on FPS, so the game works fine on high-refresh-rate displays.

  • Fixed the progress bar anchoring in scenes. It’s now visible on screens of any aspect ratio—anchored to the right side. Also fixed a similar issue elsewhere. It wasn’t just a checkbox toggle, but I managed.

  • Added an FPS limiter. Set it to 100 FPS. Extra protection for high-refresh displays and powerful GPUs (too high FPS can break the game).

  • Fixed a bug with pausing during scenes. You can no longer press Esc while a scene is playing. Thanks to Steelbonds for spotting it. Also removed the ability to move after pressing Esc during a scene.

  • Improved the resource allocation menu. You can now skip the week ahead to Sunday. Added a “Max” button so you don’t have to keep clicking the plus button. Last time, I just couldn’t figure out how to code it, but now I did. Also added cost display. Someone suggested an upgrade tied to reducing Energy cost, and overall, people asked for prices.

There were a lot of comments about the main character’s appearance. Personally, I’m not a fan of the idea of a standard “handsome hero,” especially considering the plot and the meaning behind what’s happening in the game. Even though there was a lot of feedback, I feel like it came from less-engaged players who just skipped through the entire story. But maybe I’m wrong.
