🎬Cinematic Cut-ins v1.8.0: Trigger Macros, Zip Portability & New Themes
This update focuses on giving you more control over your automation and making it easier than ever to share your creations. Version 1.8.0 introduces powerful macro integration alongside two beautiful new themes to boost your game's visual flair.
✨ New Features
⚙️ Trigger Macro Execution
You can now link macros directly to your triggers. This allows for complex automation that goes beyond just visual effects.
Run any macro automatically when a trigger fires.
Choose to play a cut-in preset, run a macro, or do both together.
Macros receive full context including the actor, item, and speaker for advanced coding.
📦 Portable Preset Export & Import
Sharing your custom setups is now a one-click process. You can move your hard work between worlds or share them with friends without worrying about missing files.
Export any preset as a .zip file that bundles all your custom images and sounds.
Importing a zip file automatically restores assets to your server and fixes the file paths.
Legacy .json import is still supported for your older backups.
🎞️ New Themes: Horizon & Ink
Two distinct new styles added to the collection.
Horizon (All-Out Attack): A widescreen theme featuring horizontal character strips that open with a clean blind effect. Characters alternate between the left and right sides while the map remains visible in the gaps.
Ink (Personal): A punchy style where ink splatters hit the screen in sequence, then the character emerges from shadow with bold text animations.
👥 Add Actors to All-Out Attacks
Managing large participant lists is much faster now. You no longer have to recreate presets just to add one more character.
Quickly add new participants to existing presets with the new Add Actor button.
Find the right token fast using the search box and filters for PCs, NPCs, or All actors.
✍️ Enhanced Typography Controls
More freedom to style your text exactly how you want it.
Main text and sub text can now use different fonts for better visual hierarchy.
New Bold (B) and Italic (I) toggles let you style each text line individually.
🔕 Disable Update Notifications
Prefer a cleaner startup? You can now turn off update notification popups entirely in Module Settings, or dismiss them permanently with the "Don't show again" button.
🐛 Bug Fixes
The All-Out Attack configuration window now opens centered on your screen instead of being offset.
Fixed a bug where Sub Text was invisible in the Neon theme. Redesigned with a new flicker-on entrance and glitch-out exit to match the synthwave style.
Voltage Theme: Text colors now correctly respond to user-configured settings instead of being hardcoded. Sub text no longer clips at the edges.
V12 Compatibility: Fixed a crash related to DialogV2 callback differences between V12 and V13.
Update Dialog Scroll: Long patch notes no longer overflow the update notification dialog.

I originally installed the module because I really liked the character animation and I wanted to use it for boss fights and other types of enemies that show up. But I found a little to complicated to play the character animations, I managed to set them up so I can preview them, but I never understood how to trigger them outside of setting up events on a roll. So this update seems interesting! One thing I would love to see is a simplification where we could right click a character and play their standard cinematic, that one that we setup to be the default. As a GM, it would really help!
Thank you for the great feedback! I definitely think having a way to play them more easily would be helpful. I'll take that into positive consideration.
