Finished the translation, and now it's time to remember how everything works in Ren'Py...
Am I satisfied with the translation itself?
Hah! Of course I'm not.
I can spend ages improving the same line dozens of times, rewriting it over and over, etc., but I don't think that's how I should be spending my time.
The most tedious task right now is copying the entire script into the code and adapting it to the scenes. I spent half a day on this today, but only managed to get halfway through.
And considering this is still just the first phase, and I'll have to go through the entire code from the beginning several more times to add music, effects, and adjust transitions, it's hard to say exactly how much progress I've made so far.
For now, my main goal is to paste everything in.
Once I move on to the second phase, I'll be able to start updating the progress bar above.
Saves probably won't be available or work properly, but I've accounted for that by adding chapter and route selection — it will set the the necessary amount of "affection points" depending on your route choice, so you won't have to sit through already-read chapters, making them manually.
I might add a few more improvements, but that'll be during the "Final Touches" stage.
And I'll also explain all of them in the release post, of course.

Hey, I wanted to tell you something (I'd like to say it on discord, but you seem not very active on it so I'll say it here). I'm making a Word were I point out the misspelling and incoherences the dialog of Chapter 2 has. Of course I could correct them myself and send you a .rpy with the corrected version plus the completed Spanish translation (not even close to done btw), but I actually want you to correct them yourself (when I'm finished) so you can learn from these mistakes. I completely understand them, I like seeing stupid mistakes like "khat" and "messege" because it's obvious that you wrote this yourself. When I finish the Chapter 2 Spanish translation, I'll review the Prologue + Chapter 1 translation I made on summer, and if I have to make changes there, I'll send you the new .rpy and you can delete the old one.

I mean, what could you expect from a AI? It larps to be "perfect" and believe that it's "always is right". I'd recommend you using Linguee too, it has worked for me on translations in general. Of course it ain't perfect, but the more tools you can have, the better will be the translation.

Yeah, I’ll definitely need to hire someone as a translator in the future, once I can afford it... Sometimes I even use three translators at once + AI, but even so, I often have to manually correct the results

Спасибо 🧡 Я действительно стараюсь, чтобы всё что я делаю, больше походило именно на сериал, чем просто спрайты и текст, как в дефолтных новеллах. Именно поэтому рендеры исчисляются тысячами и это занимает так много времени

Yep. And It's hard to say the exact number right now since the script is still changing. I even considered just moving Part 3 to Chapter 4, but I'm not sure yet... I'll decide after Part 2, I guess 🤔

The Patreon notification caught my eye, so I decided to check it out. That reminded me of a question I had after finishing the current storyline—I think you might have mentioned this before, so apologies if it's a silly question, but do you plan to add story branches starting from Chapter 1? Or is that not in the plans?

Sorry for the late reply! As for your question: yes, but the major branching paths and scene differences start from Chapter 3 onward. That's also where the player starts making the final choices that determine which route they'll end up on.
