Technical Issues (solved)
A few days ago, I noticed that my HDD started randomly disconnecting whenever my PC was under heavy load.
Then yesterday, it wouldn’t boot at all and threw me straight into the BIOS with the error “S.M.A.R.T. Status BAD, Backup and Replace” — that’s when I realized my SSD is dying (both the SSD and HDD are over 5 years old)
I’ve already ordered new ones, but they won’t arrive until Friday. After that, I’ll have to reinstall everything, including Windows, and move all my data back over.
Until then, I’d rather avoid putting too much load on the PC and risking things getting worse, so I guess my productivity this week is gonna be pretty... meh.
Welp, I guess it happens.
After all, I’ve had this PC since 2018, and I’ve pretty much replaced everything in it myself over the years – except for these drives.
So I guess it’s their turn now...
Got the SSD around 10 PM today (14.08.2026) after coming home from work, and finished reinstalling Windows and setting up the SSD around 2 AM.
The problem seems to be fixed now, though I still need to double-check everything and reinstall the programs that got removed.
Kinda sad that I had to return the HDD because I couldn't install it due to the necessary mounting screws not being included...
Anyway, I hope replacing just the SSD fixed the issue.
Right now, I’m pretty exhausted, so I’ll continue working on the VN tommorow, around noon if everything is definitely okay 👌

до сих пор жду третью главу, по ощущениям несколько лет уже) столько всего произошло за все это время.. хотя даже и года не прошло (вроде) ну чтож могу пожелать только удачи, надеюсь в скором времени увижу продолжение
Если бы я не страдал недугом, под названием «трудоустроенный», то процесс был бы как минимум в два раза быстрее 😅 Увы физически я не в лучшем состоянии нынче, поэтому очень быстро устаю и по будням (после рабочего дня) не в состоянии заниматься проектом Однако зимой или в лучшем случае ДО зимы, главу я должен суметь выпустить, если таких приколов как на посте выше снова не будет 🤔

I'm even willing to buy a new PC if this one breaks, just to keep going. The Patreon savings would already be enough for that 🧡
It seems like fate wants to delay the release of Chapter 3 Part 1 as much as possible 😭
