Recap: August 2026
August was a month of uncertainty. How much should we squeeze into the next update? How should we handle the demo? What should we work on first after the demo?
It started with a lot of ‘we’ll see.’ And by the end of it, we actually saw :)
So..
The "Fire and Ifrit" Update is now renamed to the "Fire and Spells" Update. Don't worry, Ifrit and the Sorceress are still very much there.
🧱 Core
As you may have guessed from the new name, I've added spells.
Right now, they don't really have a purpose. Later, spells will be one of the tools you'll use to deal with different events and problems. For now, I'm mostly adding them because they're fun and because I want the system around while designing everything that comes next.
There will be two spells initially:
Create Fire
Create Vines
And each comes in two forms: Point and Area.
Point casting lets you draw the effect exactly where you want it, while Area casting lets you cover a large chunk of the brothel in a second.
Later, I also want to support casting directly on characters. So eventually you'll be able to set a client on fire simply by clicking on him.
The general principle behind spells is a kind of rock-paper-scissors. Fire burns vines. Water (or slime) puts out fire. Vines consume and grow on water (or slime). And eventually, I want spells to go far beyond just elemental magic.
As for fire itself, it's on the way.
It burns. It spreads. Mission accomplished.
Well... almost.
There are still a lot of accompanying systems we need to build around it. Clients should run from the fire, staff should rush to extinguish it, objects and walls should take damage, and maids should handle repairs.
Most of these accompanying systems will probably arrive in a fairly raw state and keep improving throughout development.
And lastly, the Rage system for Special clients is done.
The idea is simple: if a Special client's patience reaches zero, they rage. Every Special client will eventually have their own charming way of expressing dissatisfaction.
For Ifrit, you can probably guess what that means.
🎨 Models & Art
Eugene has done quite a lot of concepting this month.
Our Sorceress finally has her final look:
We've also been exploring some potential future clients:
We've started thinking a little more seriously about bosses:
And about the plot:
We're also preparing new UI elements for this and future updates:
Aaaand we're cooking a lot of VFX. Fire, smoke, and an Ifrit raging from above are only the beginning.
🏃♂️ Animation
The Sofa is preparing its glorious return, this time for clients only.
Ins, loops, and outs for Elf, Human, and Dryad are done.
Ifrit raging from above is also, unsurprisingly, a new animation.
Aaaand we're back in the timesink known as Gnomes - now finishing their enter and exit animations.
One day, the Gnomes will finally let us go.
🔮 What's Next (September)
v0.4.0! As usual, I'll happily take every available second of the month to make the pre-release crunch slightly less horrifying. Maybe someday I'll learn how estimates work :)
So, here's what to expect:
First Special client: Ifrit
Third staff type: Sorceress
Spell system with two initial spells
Fire and a bunch of related systems
SOFA!!!
It's going to be a strange and fun milestone that will probably somehow feel like not enough and a bit too much piled all together.
After v0.4.0, we'll pile up a few more things, then switch our attention toward polish and accumulated feedback to prepare for the public demo.
And after the demo comes the Big Restructuring.
Step by step
With love,
your Eki-Eki-Eki ❤️

I am your new subscriber, and I came here because I happened to play the earliest demo and was impressed by its reputation. I hope to get key, and I will continue to play and provide feedback on my experience.
Will there ever be some sort of POV view for any of the services? I think that would be pretty cool, and offer some players a chance to you know… really enjoy the adult game lmao
Yes, we’re planning both a “character view” spell and a “character possession” spell. For now, though, the only option is to zoom in, which basically gives you a POV-like view.
