The Manes Vaperspawn, Mammoth and Manticore!
Hello friends! Today I worked on the Manes Vaperspawn from the new Monster Manual! Given these attack in groups like the regular Manes I made a few poses. That giant mouth is so offsetting lol. For FDM printing you'll get your best results printing these on their backs with the claws pointed as upward as possible. For resin users the usual presupported files are up.
Also I worked on some easier projects that just needed some minor updates. The Mammoth needed a nice rig and more active pose unlike the original from 2014, so I made Mammoth 2 which is moving a little more actively. Given the size of this creature you can print it at any angle in FDM but I still recommend printing it upside down. The size marker is separate from the mini for easier printing given how big it is.
I also made some minor updates to the Manticore given the one from 2014 still holds up. All it needed was some extra muscle work details along with some proportion work. Then I gave it a more aggressive stance flying and it was ready to go. For FDM printing you'll lose some of the spikes printing this but you'll get your best results printing it upside down with most of the spikes pointed upward.
My take on the Manes Vaperspawn is unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Fan Content Policy. Not approved/endorsed by Wizards. Portions of the materials used are property of Wizards of the Coast. ©Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Also as a little bonus I wanted to show my print of the winner of last months 3D printing and painting contest's mini they requested! Its a fun concept of a Tiefling Warlock in a Betty Boop pose with a lollipop hammer as a weapon. My painting skills aren't the best in the world but I think they're alright at least :)
More to come tomorrow as I bring about the Marilith Demons! Stay tuned :)

I know the manticore and mammoth but what is a Vaperspawn from what mythology?
It's from the Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual. It's just a monster made up by the creators of the game.
