New Requests Completed! Also my Statement on AI.

Hello friends! Today I just wanted to put on the record that I am against Generative AI in the arts. It hurts creators on all fronts, be it writing, graphic design, the 3D arts, and more. Even if it didn't hurt the community I'm a part of and love, it's harmful to the environment and it diminishes human problem solving abilities and creativity. Therefore I want to be clear that my works will always be made by hand, and will never be influenced in any way by AI. If I get requests for models that use AI I will reject these and ask the patron to just describe what they want in as much detail as they'd like so I can just cook. If I get offered AI tools by companies that want to collaborate I'll reject it. If a 3D hosting website wants to make a generative AI tool on their site I'll remove everything I post from there. I'm an artist and I stand with other creators on this matter.

And now onto my human made work! Today I worked on:

  • Succubus - this request was for a succubus variant that uses a chain weapon called Succubus - Dark Whisperer, which is located in Misc Patron Requests - S . This request gave me a great opportunity to make a Succubus to go with my Monster Manual 2025 collection. She was a great mix of modeling and sculpting work. I also got some input from my wife on wardrobe choices. Normally I make my female characters with practical armor and equipment... but I think the Succubus is the exception haha. For FDM printing you'll get your best results printing her on her back. For resin users be careful removing the supports that are just next to her tail. Full files are here and in the Monster Manual 2025 collection.

  • Dwarf Male Cleric Fishing - this was a silly one, but it did give me an opportunity to update one of my base rigged dwarf models. For FDM printing the little hook and rings on the fishing rod won't show up but it'll still look "Ok" for tabletop gaming. Resin users get the usual presupported file. Full files are here and in Adventurers - Clerics- Dwarf Clerics.

That's all for now! Have a great weekend folks!

Glad to know you're on the right side! AI is a blight, with FAR more negatives than positives (if there are any positives in our corporate hellscape).

I was recently having the AI in art discussion with a close friend. Your quick summary of points is excellent, I especially like your apt statement, albeit it one I have been discussing since navigating by GPS / maps apps became common (I witnessed people I knew start not being able to remember how they got somewhere!!!!!! Just one hour later!!!): "generative AI ... it diminishes human problem solving abilities and creativity." -mz4250, 3D Artist and powerhouse in printable miniatures creation and generosity That is really the crux of it. Humanity as a whole will have its mostly as yet untapped capabilities diminished, just when the knowledge of human prowess is at, perhaps, its highest. Ironic? Or evil? Both? Regardless of that most important line of sound reasoning you proffer, I suggest it absolutely hurts the audience and patrons of art as well. Why? Music is experienced as more pleasant when instead of 1/32 notes following each other, there are 1/32, /31, /32, /30, /34, /29, etc. etc.... The distance between objects in say a miniature diorama, if the stones are "too perfectly spaced" the random pattern repeats too "obviously" for the brain, not the eye (our biggest sensory stimulus even!)... our existence is beyond miracle, and every step we move away from human creation and into machine creation is inarguably inferior (yes, I fully acknowledge the pragmatism of manufacturing, but do we have a better life as we evermore pollute the world with toxic byproducts). Remember the lightbulb that lasted over 100 years? The original nylon leggings that literally were indestructible, and now can be destroyed by hook (& loop) fasteners? Supported, as of this moment. Planning to print my first model of yours later today, after seeing your stuff on thingiverse, and you being mentioned MANY places a great place for people to get STL's on a budget... beyond words. I will print Dragon Turtle in grey PLA+. I support you, not just for you, but for your audience as well. If you ever get a chance to read the Dragonlance books (Autumn Twilight through Summer Flame)... there are some really fantastic beasts in there as well....

I was just wondering recently how you made models this quickly, it’s amazing how you’re making all these by hand. I keep saying I want to learn, but am afraid of how long it would take, and if I even have what it takes to stick to it.

It takes about a month of practice. There are a ton of YouTube tutorials on Blender that can get you started out there. Pick the one with the most views and your set.

I have a firm stance against AI, I have never and will never use AI art in anything I make/campaigns I run, I would rather have no character art at all, I'd rather support an artist anyways

Based; seeing AI generated 3d models on printables made me so angry, and seeing people's comments where they had tried to print something and it turned out horribly made me so sad. I left an annoyed comment on one model where most of it was fully floating in mid air in both 'picture' and model, which wasnt even tagged as AI generated, and the "creator" got really defensive and snappy at me. AI is poisoning the well of 3D modelling, which has for so long been fueled by human creativity, innovation, and the spirit of sharing ideas and improving on each others' work. It makes me sick. You rule ✌️

Really wonderful stuff man. Love the work you do and glad you’ve made a clear stand on this.

Did... did people actually pressure you into an AI statement? Sheesh. I feel like from your catalogue it should be pretty obvious that you cook by hand...

m
mz4250 · January 16, 2026

Nope. I saw AI slop today and it grossed me out haha. But it's been something on my mind for a while and figured it was time

I already loved the work you're doing, but seeing you take that stance against AI, it's even better. I can't support you for now but props to you ! And thanks for the awesome models !

Now maybe make her a little more naked(not fully), but the armor like that doesnt really match the succubus vibe to me atleast. Nice model tho

Maybe when I get to letter S again. Thanks though :)

Josh Markling · January 16, 2026

Good on you for the AI statement I fell into trying AI some for my dnd game (only for names on the fly cause I suck) and I found that though it was useful and helpful at times it was hot garbage and took the fun from giving ridiculous and stupid names to my players

M
Mark · January 16, 2026

Big ups for the AI statement, if anyone thought you used AI they need their eyes checked, lol. Also I feel like a succubus is a good one to not have armor, if a succubus or incubus get into a fight where they need armor, they've kinda failed as a succubus/incubus.

m
mz4250 · January 16, 2026

Thanks! And yeah if anything that armor isn't very practical at all haha

This is why I only recommend your models. Doing it for the love of doing it, not just to churn out AI slop as fast as possible. Keep up the amazing work and I'll always stay a supporter!

Thank you for being against Generative AI!!! Too many ‘creatives’ have just decided it is ok, and it’s disgusting.
