We’re back! Getting ready for a 3000NM Sail...
Hey legends, we're back and so is La Vagabonde III ... and we're getting her ready for her biggest passage in a long while.
Over the next few weeks we'll be preparing for a 3,000 nautical mile sail across the Pacific, from Indonesia to New Zealand. As always, there's so many tasks to crack on with before we can untie the dock lines, and this week it's putting our new Doyle sails up! Yewwww!!
After spending time focused on farm life, it feels pretty special to be stepping back aboard and getting into sailing mode again. There's a mix of excitement and just a few butterflies as we prepare for what's ahead.
We really hope you enjoy this early AD-FREE release of this week's episode. Whether we're on land or out in the middle of the ocean, your support is what allows us to keep sharing these adventures!
PS: Any tips for Riley's passage into New Zealand? Let us know in the comments below.
Love,
Elay & Riles, Lenny & Darwin xx

I'm glad you finally have a home base to come home too. There's nothing like putting the key in the door and KNOWING you successfully made it home. BUT, I can't wait to see the new Rib and the sailboat you eventually buy after LVB 3 is sold.

Hello
My dear friends once again thank you for your honesty and candor throughout your life’s journey. The boys look fantastic and well rounded human beings. You two have done good, but no one needs to tell you how fantastic a job the two of you are doing to make these two young people the best parts of you both. Your adventures are still inspiring and incredibly special to watch and listen to. Keep up your amazing journey for all to admire and adore.
Stoked to catch up on this!! We’re here prepping our tour van for a month long tour out west in the us, so many projects to get ready but it’s SO FUN to get ready to “set sail” 💜
Greetings!!! This was a great episode. First, yes, I definitely see how weird people are about not wanting to travel to see the boat. I suspect they are also concerned about having to sail from where it is to where they might want it to be. The boat is famous and wherever buyers may take it, it will be recognized. There is something to be said for both sides of that. La Vagabonde is something of a sailing-world treasure. I have missed watching her sailing adventures. I admit though that I also found it comforting to see you guys on the boat again. I have missed that... seriously. As to your futures on the land, this video has been comforting. Seeing/hearing details of your horticultural intentions for your land has quelled some thoughts. Right now a lot of sailing channels are building or restoring boats. Many of my favorite channels are on land. I love seeing that your story continues with some wonderfully creative thoughts on how to work with nature as a full system. The Wasp story was fantastic. I was weirdly touched by potentials. Today, I could go on writing for an hour with my thoughts on all this and you guys. I will abbreviate it all to sending a huge "Thank You!" Spencer
Cheers Spencer! Appreciate your words mate, glad to hear you enjoyed this one.
