Our New Boat!!
It's a huge week for our little family… our brand new Highfield has finally arrived in Vanuatu and we are so unbelievably excited to share her with you all!
After a whole lot of planning, we're finally getting her set up and out on the water for the very first time. Safe to say, we’re absolutely stoked about this one.
But somehow, that’s not even the only new arrival this week… meet Pebbles! 🐶 The newest (and arguably cutest) member of the La Vagabonde crew. The boys have been beside themselves waiting to adopt their new puppy, so this is a pretty special moment for our little family.
Meanwhile, farm-build developments are moving super on the farm. The driveway is really starting to take shape, and plans are officially underway for our very first building on the property. It’s starting to feel like this crazy dream of ours is actually becoming a home.
As always, thank you so much for being here and for all of your support. We genuinely couldn’t do any of this without you guys, and we’re so excited to keep sharing this next chapter with you!
Lots of love,
Riley, Elayna, Lenny & Darwin

Snickerdoodle. Loving tracking your progress with life on land. Didn’t take long before you got another boat though…lol. Riley just looks more alive when he is in command of a boat..
Hi. I just want to touch base on Anxiety. I'm 53. Ive recovered from Anxiety. Once upon a time travelling was out of the question for me. Long story short, years of therapy, hard work. In the end what worked for me was every time it started to play up, I'd say to myself, nope, not today, fekk off, I'd say it over and over. I basically grabbed it by the balls, took control and told it to fekk off. There comes a time in your life no matter how much trauma you have had, etc, you just have to not give a fekk so much and live your life to the fullest, you have to be kind to yourself. And believe in yourself, you are stronger than you think. .
and they say we domesticated dogs! but I always called that proprioception business you talk about... muscle memory. But the amygdala... there is the real can of worms... another great episode.
Snickerdoodle !!! Awesome video. You are getting so many major things done in short order. Very impressive. Pebbles is adorable
Busy life happy wife. Have you set a wedding date yet🥰???
snickerdoodle!
Snicker doodle haha. Love this episode!!!
Snickerdoodle. You need a new code word! Zeitgeist or something… Go Pebbles! That last scene with Pebbles on the neck of Elayna was priceless. 🥰
Great movie! Loved everything about it!!
I love watching your new adventures. What you lack in skills (boat trailer modifications ) you make up for it by not hesitating to dive right in. Elayna, your honesty regarding anxiety resonates with me. I call it “situational” anxiety. I try very hard not to get over stimulated and to not borrow trouble or “future trip”. Box breathing is my friend. It calms me right down. Hang in there. Talking about it is the best way to combat it!!🩷🩷
Elay, I am thankful that you talk about your mental health in this new episode. I have Epilepsy and so for me keeping a calm household and lifestyle(but also filled with adventure) is important. My husband and I have gotten a credit card that allows us to use an airline lounge instead of the main waiting area in airports. It has made a difference, with the free food and the lounge chairs. Snickerdoodle. And little pupinni makes it complete!
Too much fun is a good thing! Can't wait to hear about the crossing.... Snicker doodle
❤ GR8 VID ❤ LOVED IT ❤
Yeah me too
I love the new dog, and I am sure you will too. The new boat should satisfy your ocean addiction.
Hello 👋
Well your family is just about complete, two fantastic young boys, cat a dog or two, horses, goat, and chickens. Not too shabby, pretty soon you will have your home done as well. Paradise would be a great name for the farm and ranch house. You fokes should be so proud and excited for all you’ve accomplished. Peace and love to all your family!
All you need is a baby girl so you can grow her to an independent woman!
You're spot on, Riles! Your proprioception gets better with use. It's why babies get more food on their face than in their mouth. Learning where it is strengthens that biomechanical connection. Same with exercise and with a good set of wheels, knowing by feel where that right-front outside tread is. ETA: Congrats on the pup. Snickerdoodle.
ELAY has a proper UTE! Well done and oh my goodness, Elay! Your little pup sleeping on your neck, I made it all the way to the end before the tears came! She is the most precious. Love the new Highfield (but maybe its middle name could be Cunningham?). And RILEY, 100% with the proprioception! When I lived and was a guide in Yosemite National Park, I figured out I could earn twice as much if I went and got a license to drive a 40' (13 meter) coach to get my tours to where we wanted to go and explore. That bus FULLY became an extension of me. I had to, to be able to negotiate the crazy park roads with something that big. I was laughing out loud as you went off on your tangent! NICE! And, snickerdoodle!
