The Hardest Sail: terminal cancer, a rescue and true friendship...
This week’s episode is a “regular” sail on paper, but it felt anything but. En route to Angaur Island in Palau, we’re also celebrating a little milestone… SeaPeople App turned ONE! What started as a wild idea to connect ocean-loving legends has become a real community. Thank you for every sighting logged, every message sent, and every tiny act of ocean kindness on the app.
To mark the moment, we’re shining a light on three very human stories (no spoilers, promise). One is about an almost-impossible voyage and the grit it takes to get there. Another follows a dad choosing joy on the water with his family when time is short. And the third is pure friendship, four mates who remind us why we cast off lines in the first place.
If you’ve been with us from the start or you’ve just jumped aboard, thank you. Your support here on Patreon makes these sails (and the SeaPeople dream) possible. Pop the kettle on, curl up somewhere cozy, and come sail with us to Angaur and hear stories you won’t forget anytime soon.
Love,
Elayna, Riles, Lenny & Darwin x
P.S. If you haven’t tried the SeaPeople App yet, this is your sign. Log your ocean moments, meet good humans, and help us keep this blue world visible. It’s free to download. Join our SLV official group for the latest: https://lnk.bio/s/seapeopleapp/spofficialgroupslv

Wow. A beautiful episode. Thank you!
fitness 🙏🏽🎉
That was a beautiful watch. Life is a treasure. So inspiring. xx
Please tell me that there will be a grand meet up of three boats in Reef in Australia next year. One a shake down cruise, one a little learners cruise, and one a "we just bought a trimaran" cruise. And we can all track their progress.
WOW. This episode made me cry at the end. I am thankful for having you guys and crew in my life. The title, though, is too worrying. And one more thing: Fitness!
This was just great. Love the SeaPeople stories directly from them. Keep them coming. I wish Jai were here cooking for me! You are so lucky.
I liked this venue. It wonderful to know that your app is having such people sharing surprises. Good on Ya!!!
As a 67-year-old athlete, I'd love to see more on your fitness programs. Over the years, I've seen Riley has put on several pounds of lean muscle. Good on ya, mate.
Wowser. Y'all are a force in this world.......a force nurturing good in so many ways.
Loved this video - especially the snapshots of the SeaPeople that have connected via the app! Wonderful and heartwarming. Love seeing all of you aboard the Vagabonde and your daily life. Makes being a patron so fulfilling.
Would be great to see fitness video. Would also like to see quick update on current equipment used, cameras, drones etc.
Damn the title and description gave me a heart attack thinking one of you two got diagnosed. Sheesh
Agreed, I do think it could have been better put. Looks like Riley is sick 😢 glad he's not.
Wonderful to hear all the stories of how SeaPeople is helping change peoples lives - truly inspiring. I always think your videos just can’t get any better … and then they do !!! ❤️
The Zac’s story is a gut punch. Truly a lesson to live life fully each day.
