Why we had to Turn Back and Change Our Entire Route!
This week didn’t go anything like we planned. 😔 Riles and I had been pushing hard towards our next destination for days, everything lined up, the weather looked fine… until it didn’t. Join us as we end up having to completely reimagine our route, adjust our schedule, and choose a different destination altogether.
While it's not where we expected to end up, we promise you guys it’s going to be worth it! Plus, we’ve got some VERY exciting news about a (potential) new boat, so it’s not all bad news!

I am not a sailor but I am something of a filmmaker, and I am in awe of how we're watching your family grow, mature and explore in such a beautiful way. The sailing bits are nothing short of amazing, it really looks like black magic. To have such a deep connection with that big gorgeous yellow machine and all its complicated parts is remarkable. Keep these coming. These films are truly magnificent. Oh, and life sometimes tells you to not fight the winds.

Oh wow guys!! The absolute JOY that is just exploding out of your facial expressions as you set that gorgeous ‘white’ sail to ‘full speed ahead’… (almost) … and oh my did she look stunning!! How good is it when you trust your gut instinct and things seem to work out even better than you ever could have imagined!! I adore how your video's evolve as the situation does and a story always has a twist in it to make it more interesting, ya know. Can I also just tell you that tears came to my eyes when I heard an enthusiastic little voice describing eels.
It has been 56 years since I was on Guam but it looked like Umatac you were anchored at. If so, just about that same spot on the outside of the entrance was a Japanese plane at about 60 ft. that we used to dive on. Someone said it slid away in a typhoon but when I was there it was pretty complete with only the tail section missing. GUAM IS GOOD!!!
Funny how life conspires to alter our plans, and all too often it's for the better. When in doubt, follow the wind. Those places will still be there.

I suffer with depression and they always uplift my spirits whenever I am going through a dark phase. It is wonderful sharing in your journey from when you and Riley started sailing +10 year ago.
