Life on our Untouched Atoll (Hour Long, Raw, Unfiltered)
We’ve been dreaming of sharing this one with you for so long! We finally made it to the atolls, and life out here on this tiny untouched island in the middle of nowhere just keeps getting better and better.
No roads, no noise, no distractions and beneath the water it’s absolute magic with schools of fish, vibrant corals, huge turtles, and so much life. Every time I dive, I’m reminded of how much beauty is still out there, untouched, if you just sail far enough.

Do you think there is an entire category of "ideas" that resonate well with humans, where many of us have stumbled upon the "Dawkin" like idea of "cultural evolution", even before we've read Dawkin? By that I mean, that Dawkin was able to articulate an idea that has already been rippling about the zeitgeist? Question for you both. Rapido are doing a 63 (60XS). can you have a squiz at their webiste and share your thoughts. I'm drawn to the performance of the Rapido and I'm liking a bit of extra comfort (tha t pesky boat triangle thing)

Okay Riley, regarding Richard Dawkins… Before I retired from teaching, I attended a VR conference in Hollywood and RD was a keynote speaker. I carpooled with a Finnish educator and we were both excited about the opportunity to see and hear Dawkins up close. When we arrived, we met up with two other colleagues and mentioned our excitement. They gave us the most disgusted looks and couldn’t understand why we were excited about seeing Dawkins. Apparently they are both extremely religious individuals and had absolutely no desire whatsoever to see or hear the keynote. Jarkko and I were blown away by their utter disgust. We thoroughly enjoyed the keynote address. I enjoyed your take on the meme process. Safe travels, Michelle

As beautiful as the video was, perhaps my favorite part was Professor Lenny's lecture on what an atoll is..........an accurate and precious narration. Cooking and Swedish with Darwin was a close second.

Riley - I would like to address some of my thoughts about creating culture. I am a grandmother and my oldest granddaughter lives close to me. She’s 3 1/2 years old. I get to spend a lot of time with her! I am very conscious of the language I use with and around her. Now that she is learning to express her thoughts and feelings I work to receive them with openness and without judgement. I think a lot about social “norms” especially living in the South in the US. I want to continue to allow her to be a free spirit, let her explore her edges with overlaying my own personal fears or baggage from my upbringing. I’m glad you mentioned this because I think about it constantly with her. Having her around and being fully present with her helps me to exam my own beliefs and norms and continuing to ask the question…”is it true?” 😍

What a stunningly beautiful video...it was truly transforming. This may be an all-timd best! I learned things, I laughed, I cried a bit when parts reminded me of wonderful times spent exploring islands with my family on my parents' sailboat. As it came to an end, I was drifting on the music and ambient sounds, with a smile on my face and feeling perfect peace. Thank you so much. We are blessed to have you sharing your lives with us.
