Episode 4 starts with the VIP training afterparty where Thara tries to share a drink with Vicky, but her popularity gets in the way of that try. Vicky, meanwhile, tires to get to her, too, but the instructor, apologizing for being hard on her, and praising her perseverance that he secretly admired. Vicky remember all the times Thara stood by her and claims she had great encouragement, and thanks the instructor for being so strict and making her realize she stronger that she thought. Then, she cheers with her, and after warning her of not drinking too much, she claims that while she may not be able to compete in many area, when it comes to drinking, she is confident in her abilities. After the party, she is carried piggyback by Thara and heavily intoxicated. Thara accuses her of playing the victim, the which Vicky responds “foul mouth, but also cute”. Thara wants them to go to bed, but Vicky wants to enjoy the beach, so Thara agrees to go with her. They end up at the pier, exchanging their nicknames, but Vicky claims she wants to know her much better, and asks her if they can remain friends after the VIP training, but Thara asks her if she really just wants to be friends. Literal Fireworks start as they kiss. After the credits, it’s the graduation ceremony for the VIP trainees, and the instructor presents a special guest: Mr. Phakphum congratulates them of their achievements – and also reveals that his daughter was part of the program – Vicky. This comes as a shock to Thara that she fell for the daughter of Mr. Phakphum whom she suspects to have something to do with the death of her father. We get a flashback to her childhood where Thara – called Looknam back then – was invited to Mr. Phakphum’s daughter’s birthday – and this time, we see that she actually went to it and even gave Vicky a gift – a book name “Frog and Toad” which they read both together. She even promised her to write Vicky a letter. Back at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Phakphum talks to the instructor, who is thanking him for attending. Then, Vicky joins him running into his arms – as Thara is still coming to grips with the revelation – she then notices that X, his bodyguard – has his right arm bandaged and asks him what happened. X argues that it was just a minor accident, but Vicky is suspicious of them both. Mr. Phakphum tells her that he didn’t tell her because she should focus on her training and argues he is perfectly fine, practically made of steel. Then, she want to introduce Thara – her “friend” – to them, but she has disappeared, and some fellow trainees want to take some photos with Mr. Phakphum, praising Vicky’s “accomplishments”. Vicky leaves to find Thara, but Bawornthat – Burin’s son reaches her first and gives her a flower bouquet with Mr. Phakphum noticing it, and remembering Burin’s wish that they should meet. He calls Burin to asks him what he’s doing, or better what his son is doing at Vicky’s graduation. Mr. Phakphum know he’s threatening him, but Burin claims he has no reason to if they are both on the same side. Mr. Phakphum argues that he can’t be on the same side as someone who tried to have him killed – and he says that Burin knows why that changed. He warns him not to use his old tactics, and argues that the opposition is coming after him. If he doesn’t want to get in prison even sooner that he should, he should stay away from his daughter. Meanwhile, Thara leaves the ceremony alone and on foot; she cries in pain at the situation with Vicky. Then, Noey and Pete catch her and ask where Vicky is, but Thara argues that she is probably going back with her father. They ask her what is wrong… …and at home, Thara tells them that Vicky is the daughter of Deputy Commissioner Phakphum – and that he is the reason her father’s death what labeled a suicide. She tells them that her father was threatened to sell is shophouse to some bigshot investor who wanted to build houses. But her father refused and gathered evidence for then inspector Phakphum – but somehow ended up dead. Mr. Phakphum later testified that her father was stressed before the fall, he felt that he was overwhelmed and couldn’t take it anymore, which got the fall labeled as a suicide. But Thara and her mother still believe that someone killed her father. It was one of her reasons of become a cop: to find out what really happened and to face Mr. Phakphum. But Pete argues that this is dangerous, and there is no way to take him down now that he’s rise so high. But Thara argues that even if revenge is not possible, she still needs to know the truth. But Noey reminds her that Phakphum is Vicky father, does that make things harder or easier for her? Later, Vicky tries to call Thara, but she doesn’t pick up. Mr. Phakphum remarks that she seems to really like that friend of hers. She describes Thara as kind and gentle, but incredibly precise when it’s something serious, and she reminds her of her father, would probably be a more fitting child for him than herself. She tells him her name and that she was the one helping her when a brick was thrown into her store, and calls it a crazy coincidence. Burin comes home as Bawornthat is about to leave; he asks him whether he met Vicky, and he did, but doesn’t find her that pretty. Burin suspects that he’s meeting that doctor lady (Ann), and calls her hard to control. He doesn’t care who he sleeps with, but argues that a relationship with Vicky would be to his advantage. If Phakphum leaks evidence to the opposition, they are screwed, he claims. But Bawornthat says he should just get rid of him, like he did with the others. Ann is leaving the oncology department and meets Noey in the hallway who notices she’s not well. She sits her down and Ann mentions that she had a lot on her plate lately, but is looking for a break to travel abroad. Noey asks if the is a surprise proposal in the making, but Ann argues she’s still single which cause Noey to ask what about the red-haired guy she saw her with, but Ann swears her to secrecy in that regard – it’s not official yet. Mr. Phakphum talks to Thara because she wants her to moonlight as a bodyguard for Vicky - but she doesn’t want to spend her time off carrying some bags for some high-society girl while she’s shopping. Mr. Phakphum is disappointed by this rejection. Outside, she sees Vicky on the phone, who apparently still works at the police, and she sees Bawornthat following her, she decides to follow them as well. As he tries to grab her bags she interjects, and they all meet. Vicky explains that Bawornthat is minister Burin’s son, and he argues he was just helping her. Thara apologizes for misreading the situation, but Bawornthat is apparently very pleased to make her acquaintance. He wanted to ask Vicky out for lunch, but Thara explains that that’s not possible and Vicky chimes in, saying the she has a meeting shortly. They leave together with Bawornthat looking after them especially after Thara. Vicky asks Thara why she didn’t answer her calls, and claims she actually going to wait fer her at her office, but Thara claims that she was just busy, and scolds her for not looking at her surrounding while on the phone. Suddenly, a rolling container falls onto them and they can dart out of the way only in the last second. Thara is reconsidering het rejection of being Vicky’s bodyguard… …and is later waiting as Pete comes along and want to know what changed her mind. Thara argues that as Vicky’s bodyguard she would have access to Mr. Phakphum’s house to find evidence, but Pete claims she’s actually worried about her after what happened at the HQ earlier that day. He says he supports her if it’s her heart’s decision, but cannot accept this second agenda, because Vicky will never forgive her if she finds out. She should choose between Vicky and her father’s secrets. Ann is pregnant, but learns that Bawornthat is interested in Thara and has met Vicky from his phone conversation. But he pretends to talk to a foreign customer. Ann reminds him of the trip to Europe he promised her, but he’s really busy as of late – as is she, and he asks her whether she found a new date for Mr. Phakphum’s surgery, but that is still TBD. Vicky return to the cake shop accompanied by Thara, who meets a new fangirl in Vicky’s employee Mali, who gets Vicky to shoot some photos of her with Thara. Mali wants to know how Vicky knows Thara, and she claims that they met at the VIP training and are now – friends, and her father assigned her to protect Vicky after what happened at the shop. In the back room, Vicky tells Thar to take off her shirt – to don an apron for baking. Vicky puts it on for her, and things soon turn out sensual. Vicky praises her good figure and claims she looks so cute it hurts. Thara is embarrassed to be stared at by Vicky, but Vicky wants to, she argues – so what is she going to do about it? As Bawornthat reaches the bakery(?), Thara and Vicky kiss. And that’s where the episode ends. ___ This episode focused on Thara learning, and coming to terms with the fact that she’s effectively dating the daughter of her enemy; it also put Burin’s son into the mix as someone who is interested in both Vicky and Thara, but for different reasons – and has no chance with either, I would guess. Things are messy now, but they’re going to get messier in the next episode, I guess. The villains (B+B) are pitch black with no nuances of redeeming features, but the show is thoroughly compelling and addictive. This is the show that “Only You” only tried to be, without ever coming close. I’ll continue watching “Heart Code” whenever Monomax lets me.

Quick personal question- I’ve been wanting to move to Canada for most of my life. Not even sure why or how it even started tbh. My question for you is- How do you like living there? Fav things? Any comparisons from the US (even if they are brutal) trust me I can take it and will most likely agree with you lol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🫶🏼
