Episode 2 starts as Kaphrao reluctantly tries to fulfill Fai’s request to fetch the dump truck tickets from Yod, carrying only a parasol with holes in it. As she finally reaches Yod, he tells her that he already gave them to Fai. As she returns, Fai admits that she found them and apologizes for it. Next, she tasks her with counting rocks because small amounts are sold by number, she claims. Kaphrao remains a sceptic, but Fai pretends to call her dad and tell him she’s unwilling to work, so Kaphrao starts counting – until Yod once again remarks that this is not how they sell the rocks, they are sold by weight. Kaphrao is livid, but pretends to be fine as she returns to Fai claiming she learned a lot of things that day – and she wants to drives her home. She drives the car really slow for a while until Fai complains, then claims she’s sleepy and offers Fai to take over driving, and wants to leave her there, but Fai senses the trick switches to the driver’s seat from the inside and call her out on it, locking the car and wanting her to apologizes first. She threatens to leave her there under the hot sun until Kaphrao claims she is sorry. Then, she wants her to show off her dancing skill from her uni classes and forces her to dance for her, and even films it. They finally return to the house as the night falls, and Fai tells her that her father has probably gone to bed now, and Kaphrao can’t complain about her that day. But Kaphrao claims she all grown up and won’t waste her time and efforts on something ridiculous like that. Fai tells her to shower when she get home because she stinks so badly that Fai almost gags. This nets Kaphrao a small payback as she gets close to her and rubs her sweat at her until Fai flees. Fai returns to find Panee waiting for her for dinner. She claims to have had a littler problem on the way back, but denies that Kaphrao was responsible for it, and claims she can handle her because she is a big girl now. At dines, Panee complains the Akanee has so many businesses, yet he chose to employ her along with Fai. But Fai argues that it’s better to Kaphrao close and under their watch, claiming that if she would be away they would have no means of finding out what she’s up to with Akanee. Panee admits she never liked Kaphrao, and claims she never raised her hand against Fai when she was still under her care. But when Akanee brought Kaphrao into the house, every day became troublesome, and Akanee always punished Fai and never Kaphrao. Fai claims that all she did was wrong and all Kaphrao did was right in the eves on her father. Panee claims that she’s always on Fai’s side, and Fai loves her for it. She claims that Kaphrao won’t be there for long and tells Panee not to worry. The next day, Fai throws away Kaphrao’s bike as she get ready for work. Kaphrao calls Fai a maniac for teasing her, then offers to take her to the office – if she begs nicely. But Kaphrao will rather walk to the office that submit to her. At the office, a coworker tells her she must sort three boxes of files correctly before the day is out or cannot go home as per Fai’s orders – or she can bog her to lower the amount of work, Fai herself claims. Kaphrao claims this to be a piece of cake for her, but her colleague calls this bullsh*t. Meanwhile, Akanee talks to Fai at home, knowing the she assigned silly tasks to Kaphrao, but Fai claims she just wants her to teach patience. But Akanee claims that throwing her bike away, letting her walk to work, and even keeping to work until late at night, isn’t she picking on her again? Fai wants to know if the Gremlin rat her out again, but Akanee claims it doesn’t matter who told him, he left her in her care because he wanted her to train her at work, not to use her as her emotional dumpster. He’s warning her that she should know when to stop, and want to know what she will do if anything happens again like last time. But Fai pretends she doesn’t care, and just leaves him. Kaphrao is still sorting through the files as the house keeper wants to lock the office, but Kaphrao will probably do an all-nighter, she claims, and he tells her to lock the office as she leaves. He reports that Kaphrao is still working to Fai, but Fai claims she wants to be there herself and it’s not like she’s forced her. He points out she Kaphrao doesn’t have her bike with her, and that it looks like it’s going to rain, and Fai tells her to drop her of himself if he’s that worried, but Kaphrao already declined his offer. She just tells her to leave her be if she’s that stubborn and hangs up. She takes Panee to bed as she returns but doesn’t go to bed herself. Kaphrao doesn’t like the lightning and thunder from the storm outside, but keeps working, while Fai is looking at the weather and getting worried, as she remembers talking to the office keeper and her father about Kaphrao, and she drives to the office, where there’s still light inside. She complains about Kaphrao who is apparently unable to give in, and calls her a silly gremlin, who wants to be buried under a pile of work for real, but gets an idea… …as Kaphrao continued to work the power suddenly goes out. She looks for the breakers, but gets startled when Fai approaches her as a pretend-ghost – and punches in the face. She later threatens to kill her if her face is ruined as she has a cut on her lips, but Kaphrao claims it’s payback for her pranking her again as she treats her wound, with Fai complaining she is too rough and should behave more like a lady. Kaphrao gets close to Fai’s face, and they have sort-of a moment before Kaphrao tells her to stop whining. But Fai looks at her funny as she treats the wound. Fai claims that Kaphrao has to have the last laugh all the time, but Kaphrao claims that’s what Fai is like since she was young, and she never changed at all. Fai argues that Kaphrao has become another person completely, claiming she was so weak, kept crying and clung to her all the time when she was little – and we get a flashback of young Kaphrao being scared as Fai dragged her through the woods at night, which ended in Fai being scolded by Akanee as they returned to the house with Kaphrao crying. Grown-up Fai tells Kaphrao that she was a crybaby back then, and she got scolded by the father for it all the time, but now, she’s kicking and punching like a thug. Kaphrao argues that people change over time, and who would be consistently awful like Fai. But Fai wants to know what made her change that much, and Kaphrao claims it was her – and we get a second flashback to when Kaphrao woke up after being almost refrigerated to death, asking Akanee if Fai always picks on her because she is weak, and vowing to be strong from now on with Akanee agreeing that she must be strong before enrolling her in a boarding school where they would teach her to be strong and look after herself without Fai or Akanee (who would visit every weekend) who told her that she must be a good girl and study hard for her future. He promised he would take her home once she graduates and is big enough to handle Fai. Kaphrao promises to finish the work the next day as the return home, but Fai tells her to forget it, she doesn’t need to do it anymore. But is was an order by her, Kaphrao claims, but Fai points out the she’s giving her an order now, and asks if she understands human language. Then, she hands her an umbrella because it’s still raining outside, and Kaphrao suspects it has holes in it, but takes it and finds out it doesn’t as she runs back to the house. Kaphrao suspects her punch has caused brain damage then realizes that Fai waits fer her to get inside, so she rushes in. Fai returns to find Panee still awake and wanting to know where she rushed off to in the rain. Fai claims to have gone back to the office for some files she left there. Then, Panee notices the cut on her lips, but Fai doesn’t tat out Kaphrao and tells Panee instead that she ran into a door at the office, and maintains that is what happened even as Panee suspect something else because the cut doesn’t look like it came from a door. In her room Fai looks at the cut in the mirror and curses at Kaphrao for have a fist like an elephant’s foot. Meanwhile, Kaphrao lies in bed recapping the day especially her encounter with Fai and fears that Fai told Panee about it. The next day, Bua is selling clothes online for extra income as Kaphrao comes to her claiming she has to leave early because she doesn’t have a bike anymore. Bua offers her own bike, but Kaphrao fears that Bua might get into trouble with Fai if she finds out. Bua claims Fai has never been this hash to other workers and thinks she probably misunderstood something about her, but Kaphrao claims she has been like that since they were kids and she’s used to it by now. She claims that all she did was wrong in her eyes, but Bua thinks Fai will come around to understand her someday. Kaphrao argues that she’s narrow-minded, self-absorbed and pigheaded like a frog in the well, and she will never understand anything. But Fai is there and want to know who called her pigheaded, and Kaphrao claims she has to go and runs off with Fai yelling after her and running to her car, as Bua continues her online sale. Fai catches up with Kaphrao and tells her to get in the car because they going somewhere else today, but Kaphrao eventually gets in telling Yod to report them to the police should she not return within three hours. She gets in and checks her cut, and Fai catches her staring and calls her out for it. Kaphrao claims her wound is almost healed, but Fai argues that it shouldn’t have existed in the first place, with Kaphrao scolding her right back for that stupid prank that caused her to self-defend in the first place. She then hands her a cream so that it heals faster. This gets Fai flustered and at a loss of words, and she just drives off… …to a warehouse district where she parks the car and gets out. Kaphrao follows her asking if they meet a client there. Fai claims no, but doesn’t answer any further questions and just tells her to follow her if she wants to find out. She takes her to a bike shop and tells her to pick a new one as a replacement for the bike she threw out, so that she won’t have another excuse to complain to her father. They get into a heated argument, until the owner of the shop tells them they are both annoying, and asks them if they are going to buy a bike or not. Fai tells her to hurry up, and Kaphrao finally selects a bike. Fai wants to know if she wants to go anywhere or buy anything after that… …and they go to a stationery shop, where Kaphrao takes her time selecting some items until Fai calls her out for it, but Kaphrao claims it’s her fault for asking if she wants to buy anything, and claims she is buying stuff for the office. She tries out a few pens writing “Buffalo Fai, control freak”, “Buffalo Fai, nasty mouth” and “Buffalo Fai, bloody monkey’s flea” on a piece of paper which she takes with her not to leave any evidence. Fai doesn’t realize it and collects the next piece of paper – and reads “stealing a glance at you”. But Kaphrao is adamant that she didn’t write it, leaves her items and goes. At home, Fai puts down Kaphrao’s new bike, and claims Kaphrao’s butt is growing roots as she is just sitting there drinking something. But Kaphrao claims she didn’t tell her to buy a new bike, but the just arriving Yod finds her new bike fabulous, as Fai claims she’s being ungrateful, with Kaphrao accusing her of throwing a perfectly fine old bike out. But Yod argues the old bike was worn out, the chain fell off often and he tried to fix it, but it didn’t work. Fai thought it would be dangerous if she continued to use it, so she had it thrown out. Fai is not cool that Yod outed her in that way, and quickly claims she was only afraid that she would fall off the bike and run to father to fake being a victim to get him of her side. Yod then tell Fai and Kaphrao that Akanee wants them to have dinner at his place because he needs to talk to them about something. So, the three of them sit together for dinner at the main house, and she wants to know if Fai will attend the grand opening of Fai’s new resort, and he wants her to take Kaphrao with her, because he wants her to get to know the cousins, But Fai claims she’s not related to them, so why should she get to know her cousins? But Akanee claims it might be useful in the future. But Fai thinks it’s a burden and doesn’t want to take her – and Kaphrao claims she doesn’t want to go either. Akanee relents and will not force Kaphrao to go, and offers to coach her at work instead. This gets Fai riled up and she changes her mind agreeing to take Kaphrao with her, They each take the other’s food way from them, before Akanee wishes the a safe trip. And that’s where episode 2 ends. ___ This was 30 minutes of teasing, followed by 30 minutes of Fai realizing that she went too far and trying to make things up for Kaphrao without her realizing it. So far, this works – Kaphrao is confused why Fai suddenly acts all nice most of the time, while the endless bantering continues. Next week, we are going to see the cousins and in-laws interacting with Kaphrao and Fai will probably get jealous. I’m in for it! 😊
