Temporal Culture War Episode 27: Luizi's Mansion
On May 8th, 2002, Star Trek: Enterprise aired not one, but two episodes in a single night. This wasn't a big deal at the time, but decades later, the hosts of a Star Trek: Enterprise podcast that focuses on covering culture released in the same week would have to scramble for something else to talk about.
They settled on video games. And Clancy Brown.

What the hell is that noise in the background?
The good news is you know how to pronounce T'Pol now, the bad news is this knowledge pushed out how to pronounce Luigi.
With regard to mgs2, not only do they say meme, but memes are a major theme of the game, arguably THE theme. I think mgs2 is one of the greatest video games of all time, also they had to cut a scene where they crash a ship into Manhattan because of its resemblance to 9/11, which happened after the scene was made. Would highly recommend playing it, hell I'd recommend it as a bonus episode it's such a good examination of concurrent/post information age politics.
I would recommend mgs1 first though playing it is relevant to a lot of the meta narrative of mgs2 and it's also a great game.
