So you experience lag in a specific Cell. I will assume that you mean a loss of frame rate, rather than something like input latency. Framerate slowdown can result from a few sources. It could be too many NPCs running AI all at once. This does run on the CPU, so it would cause the game itself to slow down resulting in things like animations becoming frozen, running slowly, or skipping animation frames. However, it would not tend to have a cyclical cadence, because the number of loaded NPCs should not be changing that quickly. Also, I doubt that there are enough NPCs in a single interior Cell that it is worse than city Worldspaces like Markarth and Solitude. It could be related to loading meshes and textures. If the geometry in the Cell has become extremely complex (again, worse than large dungeons like Labyrinthian and cities like Whiterun with tons of unique meshes) then it is possible that the engine attempts to de-load portions of the area for optimization. If something forces the unloaded data needs to be re-loaded periodically, it could cause slowdown due to loading from disk if the data is extremely large or if the disk is experiencing issues. This would explain the cadence you experience, but you would need to be loading data and unloading data on the order of hundreds of MB or more, or have a disk which is heavily degraded. It could be related to scripts. Particularly if you have organized the scripts to load JSON files from disk, or if there are many scripts which are set to execute complex logic tied to an OnNextUpdate timer that happens to line up. The scripts should run asynchronously, and therefore normally none would need to wait on any other to complete before it continues. If, however, multiple async scripts are attempting to reference the same resources on disk (like a JSON file) then a file lock will cause the other scripts to halt until the first releases its lock. Hypothetically, the engine should not slow down as a result of asynchronous scripts getting stuck waiting for one another, but if the locks last long enough that the script timers get triggered before the last copy of the script completes, you can have a situation where tens of thousands of scripts are attempting to run and eating up all the CPU time in a wait cycle. This would lead to the cyclical behavior if the engine has a fallback that forces all currently running scripts to terminate, which would free up the CPU until the update timers fire the scripts again and it starts all over. Finally, it could simply be related to other things on your PC consuming all of the CPU and/or memory. When RAM approaches 70-80% utilization, the operating system enters a state called "thrashing" where the CPU can spend more time moving data from RAM into the page file and from the page file (which is located on the disk) into RAM. Generally, this state is unrecoverable without forcing the release of large amounts of allocated memory by terminating applications through the Task Manager. Recently, it was revealed that new versions of Google Chrome have set up an AI model on user PCs, which consumes about 4GB of RAM by itself. I know that I have had a lot of memory management issues with Brave and Firefox as well, but not quite so bad as that. There is also the possibility that if you are still running Windows 10 after its lifecycle has been ended that some hacker has loaded a Bitcoin miner on your machine and it is eating up all of your CPU and GPU resources. The first I would do in your circumstances is, outside the game, open the Task Manager (ctrl + shift + esc) and see what your CPU, Memory, Disk, and GPU % shows at the top of the Processes list. If you do not have the CS or Skyrim open, you want to see something like 10% or less for CPU, 30% or less for Memory, about 0% for Disk, and about 1% for GPU. Write these down and then restart the PC and open the Task Manager again, and then just let it sit for about 10 minutes and see where the numbers go. With nothing but Windows and necessary things running, Windows should consume about 2-4 GB of RAM (If you have 32 GB of total RAM, this means you should see 15% Memory usage or less) and a few % of the CPU, with basically no Disk or GPU usage. If you see numbers that are higher than this, it's evidence that something is running that should not be. If you have a second monitor, keep the Task Manager open where you can see it, then open the CS and any other tools to commonly use like Blender, and see how much the numbers jump. Without a second monitor, you will need to do a lot of alt-tab to write down the numbers. If the computer is still handling all of your dev tools without too much overhead, try starting Skyrim and keep an eye on your CPU and Memory utilization as you move from Cell to Cell. This will tell you a lot about how taxing these things are for your machine, and how Cells compare to one another. It is sadly possible that you will discover you need to close the CS when testing within Skyrim, if both programs use too many resources and the in-game issues become too difficult.

You were close in your guesses, but there was one nuance)

Thanks for you work on the training rooms! The best part of this mod, the Freeuse is amazing. Keep it up!
