Planning my next TEN projects!
I was going to film an update today, but I don’t have a ton to update you on. However I do have some pretty concrete plans for a series of videos about building a summer wardrobe - which I plan on doing from stash fabrics and vintage patterns. Nine vintage patterns, to be exact, for a total of ten garments that should form eleven outfits!
Am I going to get bored of this plan half way through and quit?
Erm, MAYBE. But I will do my best to follow through.
I do like this idea for a number of reasons - I tend to do well following patterns when my mental health is poor, because it doesn’t require as much creativity and problem solving. I’m also lacking summer clothing that fits me, and my fabric/pattern stash is overflowing, so any excuse to use them is a win. If I can get content out of it, and maybe a cute look book, I think that is a win too!
This video goes through the planning for this project - selecting fabrics and patterns. Which was easier said than done, I spent like three hours staring at and rearranging fabric to come up with a palette that was varied but coordinated well. Was I successful? You’ll have to let me know!

i keep hoping to see one of these project picked up again! i really loved this series idea!
Wonderful selections, but I am a little disappointed that you didn't choose the skirt or top with the ruffles. But, perhaps the jumper with the shoulder ruffle will be enough. Ruffles are always good for our mental health. Mine, anyone. But perhaps next time.
Hey Angie, have you ever heard of Katy Keene, America's favorite pinup from the 50's? She was an Archie comics character turned paper doll book publication for decades, it like stylized fashion plates. I would love to see you bring her amazing fashions (designed by readers of the publications) to life.
This is so exciting! I love all of the patterns and fabric that you picked out for this collection. I’m looking forward to seeing this come together and to maybe learn new techniques. Please don’t feel that you’re under any pressure from us. We’re just happy to come along the journey with you. 🥰 Sending best wishes from Down Under ❤️❤️🌺🌸💐🇦🇺😎
I am so excited to see this all come together!! Super cute fabric choices.
Oh I am in love! I love the patterns you picked out and the fabric. Can't wait to see this come to fruition!!
