Making an 1830s Bonnet (and a new project!)

I am making a historical thing! It has sequins, and beading, and puffed sleeves, and all those yummy things. But it isn't finished yet, and neither is the video about it.

However, it needed a matching bonnet, so that is what this video is about!

I like how this bonnet turned out, but there were some hiccups with the pattern. I plan on sorting through those tonight and getting the pattern posted for $10 and up patrons tomorrow, if anyone is interested in following along!

These were my references, in case anyone is curious:

Oh, another little hiccup in this project was the fact is destroyed the skin on three of my fingers. This sucks because it makes it hard to sew, (and also, ouch). But hopefully it will motivate me to edit the 6 videos I have filmed in the past month and a half, since my fingers aren't good for much else lol!

I hope all of you are well and I will be back with an update that talks more about this project, and some others, tomorrow!

Love this! ❤️ Maybe hire someone to help you with editing? I know it might be hard to trust someone with your videos but it could really help you focus on what you enjoy most!

The 1830's are one of my most favorite fashion decades!

Love! And if the flowers and feathers extend a little toward the back they may obscure the off center seam...but if not, it is still a lovely bonnet! I can't wait to see the whole thing.

It was wonderful seeing you work through all the difficulties. The end result is amazing. I can’t wait to see the entire ensemble.
