The Bright Green Robe a la Francaise // PART ONE
I have no idea when this video will be made public, or when I will actually get this project finished. But it took the first week of the month to construct, and I was eager to share the results will all of you sooner rather than later!
I wish I had something else or something clever to say, but this took twice as long to render as I expected so now it is after my bedtime and I'm too tried to say much at all.
Also hopefully by the time this goes live for real, I will have come up with a better thumbnail, lol!

i'm mesmerized by that lovely green brocade. :)
Trim! Trim! Can't wait for the trim!!! Such a pretty fabric and it will be lovely when it's done. The stomacher is aamazing.
Thank you for showing your process and imperfections! (I am working on a rather large ensemble as well) Currently seam ripping and altering construction a bit, nice to know it happens to all of us!!
Kudos to you for moving on with problem solving when that in itself can be challenging, not to mention fraying fabric and limited quantity. Piecing is period! 🥰 You are definitely the Queen of Embellishing!!! I'm so impressed by your skills and imagination. Can't wait for the trimming video and the big reveal. Sending best wishes to you from Down Under ❤️💐🇦🇺😎
I adore all your projects, especially when its soemthing youre enjoying!!! This was sooo pretty, and i love hearing that "sometimes accidents happen, and it's not about the fact that it happened, its about how you fix it". amen to that!! We all learn so much from watching you, and your humanity is why we love you
It's gorgeous!!! And I imagine that historically people had to do the piecing/fiddling all the time to make things work, too! God knows I've had to do things like that (velvet... UGH!!!!!). It's wonderful and I can't wait to see it finished!!!
I'm amazed by your problem solving skills! It's really inspiring to watch you get over the sewing hurdles and keep making this beautiful dress. The fabric is really spectacular, and I love the stomacher. I'm pumped for the trimming video!
So stinkin pretty. Thank you for being so creative and taking us along.
At first I wasn't sure about the bow on the stomacher BUT once you added the button details it turned out so darling! And green is such a fun colour for a big project like this!
So cute
